    I believe Pete would not be able to hit his best stride until he had several contests under his belt. He seems like a pretty smart guy, so after he learned the finer techniques of aggressive prechewing, I suspect he would be able to approach the mid-30s in 10 minutes.

    I also think he’d rank in the middle of the top 10, as compared with other ML eaters.

    The real question is will F-Pete go to a Nathans qualifier.
    I do believe that he said something along the lines of that he will.
    On one hand I would like to see Pete do a Nathans run.
    But on the other I dont want to lose the best eater we have to ifoce.
    I think he would just make the top 5.
    I’m looking for Pat to win, finally.
    Kobe second.
    Joey third.
    Sonya fourth.
    F-Pete fifth.
    But I’d rather see F-Pete eat burgers on the 4th.

    I have watched a bunch of Pete’s videos, and he looks like a real eater. there are only a few people that attack the food like him, and in my opinion, that is what makes a person competitive.

    I will not predict a number for Pete… But if someone posts odds of a hundred-to-one against him doing 50+, that might be all the motivation he needs to eat that much (it worked for me..:)

    I think the pressure is going to get to him a little. It’s one thing to win Peggy O’Neill’s when you’re just a kid and don’t know any better. It’s another thing to step up to that table after thinking about it all year, five sets of expectant eyes watching you, and eat Peggy O’Neill’s hamburgers the way you know you can. I think he’ll struggle. I would say 9 Peggy O’Neill’s hamburgers. Tops.

    Firstly, I am not doing Peggy O’Neils regardless….

    Personally I am putting myself at 40. If I can surpass that number, with some crazy motivation like Joey said, then I’m all for it obviously.

    Sure Rhonda i’ll get better just like everyone else has with some experience…but that’s not going to happen for now I guess…with the business/financial aspect related to IFOCE.

    Whether Pete is done with AICE or not is no one’s business but his. Why put pressure on him or Arnie to reveal their intentions/feelings to the world. That’s a private matter unless either or both choose otherwise.

    With BB’s latest post comparing Pete with Reggie on his site, along with the pressure to mix it up with the bigboys in the IFOCE , i can see where the temptation to part ways with his old friends fits in place. One would assume that arnie chapman must have been enraged when Pete expressed desire to compete in nathans. I am curious if he got confirmed for any of the qualifiers . Pete not our biz to know which ones just the fact that you got in is what counts. Did you?

    Its easy to figure it out arnie doesnt want him to sign the contract. Pete might have asked his permission to let him go for Nathans.If arnie agrees Pete would then sign the contract and if he fails , he would screw the ifoce go back to aice. No brainer

    This will be a fun match-up… i think it’s great! I hate the tension between the IFOCE and AICE btw. I think AICE is a cop-out personally. I think if Pete were to compete, we could expect about 25-35 dogs out of him. As for nathan’s this year I really want to see Bertoletti take it down, but…. he seems to have a problem with hot dogs. The big issue is that Takeru just pushes the envelope to the max, Joey is the only person that can seem to keep up with his pace and joey needs to be going balls to the wall to even do that. Whatever…. GO PAT!

    When it comes to HDBs, no one on the planet can come within a dozen dogs of Joey and Koby.

    Furious Pete is a great eater, and I won’t say it’s impossible for him to get 50 dogs and buns one day, after the shocker (to me, at least) Joey pulled a few years ago, but how often does a Joey or Koby come along?

    With two, I think mankind has already exceeded its quota for this decade.
