The new poll asks how many people in the world do you think are capable of finishing the 30 inch pizza challenge at Randy's Pizza in Oakdale, MN without assistance. Pat Bertoletti recently finished the challenge and Miki Sudo could not finish it in 2012.

    That number is well into the thousands, if not tens of thousands, easily.

    To think that the only people (of the 7,000,000,000) on the planet with extraordinary competitive eating talent / potential are the ones who currently participate would be very naive.

    Let’s put things in perspective: Given the 7 billion world population figure, if only one out of every 100,000 people were able to eat a 30-inch pizza in less than 30 minutes, that would leave 70,000 people that could.

    If the question were to reference only known competitive eaters, I’d say 11-15.

    Already did but camera was broke . a holes. head band was to small the last couple of years and was restricting capacity. New larger headband = bigger numbers in 2015 .this is not serkin or greek

    Seiken ate a thin hollowed out pizza, had it special ordered to make it appear that he is at the top of his game but he doesn’t realize that his game is over.

    Goldstein was one of the worst ever? Looking at his numbers I would say more average – above average. Beat alot of ranked eaters many times and had some strong finishes. Definitely 10 x better than that Seiken guy.

    Seiken asked the pizza maker to use half the amount of dough for the crust so the pizza would weigh no more that 1 lb which is pretty much his capacity. If that pizza was of any substance Seiken would fall flat on his face.

    I saw Allen Goldstein get clobbered by Brian Seiken at a matzah ball qualifier in Greevale LI in 2004. He then announced afterwards to the MC that its an honor going up against a legend like Seiken

    If Allen Goldshit had confidence in his eating ability he wouldnt have bombarded Rich Shea and Kate Westfall with emails about which eaters are showing up at different Nathans qualifiers. Always looking for the easy ones for a free ticket to the finals . Talk about Subich asking nosy questions you were just as guilty. Intensity of Macho man savage and Ed Krachie my ass . Seiken was forced to repeat those lines for a television show when in reality what he wanted to say was A 1lb bologna champ over a hand picked opponent they practically plucked from the street

    Sounds like a good strategy and seemed to work for Goldstein 5 or 6 times. It would have worked for Subich but he got caught cheating in Philly. He might have been able to deny it if Seiken didn’t forward to everyone the e-mail from George Shea to Subich saying “you’re busted” and give him a chance to fess up. If Seiken was liked by the people at MLE he might have been able to use the same strategy and perhaps win a qualifier 16 years ago with a pathetic total of 11.

    You need to get your facts straight 110 which is why Seiken is a gossip column genius and your your not which is why you would make a terrible journalist. Conti called Subich spotting some issues with Subich totals claiming he had pics to prove it. I dont think Subich won that contest it might have been WC controversy Conti asked Subich to call George and do right thing by concede the extra plate he was credited with. What balls? I am sure Conti would gladly oblige to those preposterous demands . LMAAAAAAAAAAAAO

    Subich cheated, there was video proof of him hiding big pieces of hotdog and bun in his cups of grape Gatorade. No big deal, most everyone cheated or was cheated for one way or another in a contest.

    If Seiken ever cheated, the best result is that he would be 2nd to dead last. He means nothing to the
    Shea’s and MLE because he’s not marketable and he can’t make them any money.
