Megamunch has a report from yesterday’s UEPa meeting at the Niner Diner in Nanty Glo, PA. Two eaters finished the three pound burger, but noone finished the five pounds of fries required to complete the challenge. The restaurant’s owner claims the only successful finisher of the entire eight pounds was an unnamed 90 pound woman who works in a Wal Mart. Ian HIckman did not attend due to a film session. The meeting received local media coverage. A gallery is available.

It was a great time. I really have to give much of the credit to the Niner Diner (Tiny and his staff). They were awesome and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. If you’re ever in the area, I definitely recommend the place. It’s right on Chestnut Street and its got bright yellow writing on the windows. You can’t miss it.
