Opie & Anthony suspended for 30 days

LATimes.com reports that talk radio hosts Opie & Anthony have been suspended from XM satellite radio for 30 days:

The hosts of “The Opie & Anthony Show” had apologized last Friday for airing a homeless man’s crude comments about wanting to have sex with First Lady Laura Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Queen Elizabeth II. But on Monday’s program, they sounded less contrite, complaining of having to adhere to their employer’s “dumb rules” and expressing sympathy for Don Imus and several other radio hosts who they said had recently lost jobs “just for trying to entertain people.”

An audio clip of the segment responsible for the suspension is available.

IFOCE competitor Pat Philbin is a frequent guest on the Opie & Anthony show and was temporarily suspended from IFOCE for appearing in a controversial video recorded at the Opie & Anthony studios.
