The Eagles Insider blog on Philly.com has an entry about Angelo Cataldi mentioning Wing Bowl 18:
By this time of the year, staffers would have met to start planning the annual Wing Bowl. That has not happened, though my sources assure me that Wing Bowl will go on Feb. 5, 2010.

Wing bowl has always been on the friday before the SB.
Unless that changes, you always know when it is.
This report is like telling us when the finals are for Coney Island.

The lack of preparation for Wing Bowl 18 was why I posted that entry. I don’t think it is a positive sign if WIP usually starts Wing Bowl planning by early November, but has not done so this year.

Agreed that part may be newsworthy, but its not quite mid way through Nov.
Make it free again, hold it in either the the Phillies or Eagles stadiums & make it undoubtably the biggest CE event in the world. (by attendance)
Those crazy, drunken b&st%rds will still show up even if it is 10 degrees with heavy winds & snow.
It seems highly improbable that they would cancel there biggest promo even w/out Al or Angelo.
I don’t think they can “own” it, as it was work product while at Wip.

After what they did to poor donald lerman slamming the door shut on him after he shows up barely making it there in sub degree temperatures and a a foot injury was a total disgrace. Then in what one would view as an anti semetic gesture, the unruly fans tossed pennies and half eaten bagels at him on stage

They didn’t throw pennies and half eaten bagels at Don Lerman! Wing Bowl fans aren’t smart enough to be that creative with their hatred.

Yeah BB, that was so much worse than what was done to Chowhound & myself.
Atleast w/Arnie it cost them $4,000.

Ususally this time of year they are hyping that an announcement is coming and they burn airtime speculating what the announcement will be, and the announcement is usually just before or after Thanksgiving
