    Not buying this story by any stretch Are we really supposed to believe this ? He still managed to put away 66 hot dogs not too long ago on netflix Try dining out with him in a restaurant and see how much the bill will be Man can still eat you out of house and home

    Looks like more eaters over doing the phony on Facebook with “followers”. Eli, Jack Eats, and of course still the king being Brandon Clark. Use common sense people as all is not as it seems. 90K followers for Eli and his average comments are trending at 10 or less comments on a post. Yup, growing daily and soon to be 100k “followers”. Why is is this fraudulent? Well, if they use it on their “resume” with restaurants as some big social media following when it’s phony.

    As I understood Kobayashi’s issue, it is the mental cues of being hungry and the enjoyment of food that have dulled.
    You are right though – he will likely always be capable of putting away loads of grub when he chooses to do so.

    441 I fail to see how your comment relates to the kobe post Who cares how many followers Brandon Clark has on Facebook Correct me if I’m wrong but last check Facebook doesn’t pay Facebook members a dime regardless of how many followers you have YouTube is another story you earn revenue based upon your subscribers watch time hrs views and followers If Brandon meets those requirements then more power to him Badlands booker is probably earning half a million dollars a year on YouTube with his chug videos

    @441 – nail on the head! What is the intent with these guys faking their follower account? It’s all a big con in the hopes these restaurants see their follower count and will pay them to come in. These restaurant owners are not very smart either doing this. No one watches food challenge videos and thinks they will go try that challenge at that restaurant, unless they are another food challenger.

    On another note, does Eli’s wife know as soon as he finishes a challenge it gets barfed right back up? How can a partner support this kind of behavior and damage to health?

    Bottom line nobody really knows the real earnings of competitive eaters via youtube or through other sources such as sponsorship etc The widely exagerated income some eaters make are false If you do a search on the net some have booker earning only $2300 to $6000 a month on youtube with his chug videos a far cry from the $500k to 1 mill k that was rumored 3million subs mean nothing Same applies to LA beast who uaed to average 3-600k views per video has slackened off consirably in the past few years The runors that he is millionaire is false According to sources hes earming more like 60 to 100k per year The only eater who is earning millions is Matt Stonie he has net wirth close to 5million with 16 million subs

    Stonie deserves every penny he earns He is entertaining he completes his challenges and doesn’t mind posting the challenges he can’t complete which is rare he also uses high tech video equipment to enhance the quality of his videos which gives his audience a reason to continue to come back on a frequent basis
    Unlike that Hanson guy s and should who probably delete the videos of restaurant challenges they fail to make themselves appear unbeatable

    Hanson completed in an mle poutine eating contest in Canada a few years ago ago he blew away the competition like Webb sudo and the other big names in
    the organization I think they tried to hold back his prize money because he didn’t sign their contract
