Request for Famous Famiglia prize structure

The prize breakdown for the Famous Famiglia pizza contest listed the 7th place prize as $500. Pat Philbin came in seventh and said he received $250 on a forum thread. Does anyone have the final list of prizes?

The only mention of the Famous Famiglia contest results on IFOCE.com appears to be the listing of winner on the contest calendar page.

According to the previous breakdown given by the coordinator of this event, 1st will get $5,000. Funny thing Philbin got cheated (not really funny) because Joey collected $5,500 for his victory. Hummm, another farce from the IFOCE and one of it’s sponsors to cheat the lower rank and grease the palm of the higher rank?

Yeah, I don’t get why they advertise the $14,000. purse but don’t let people know the breakdown. ..I assume it’s just the usual STUNNING lack of attention to detail .. like not have the proper range in contest shirt sizes or the fact I STILL haven’t gotten my Trophy for the QVC qualifier I won or the year’s supply of hot dogs I was supposed to get almost 4 months ago! I received $50. and was told i’d be sent a box of hot dogs that never came, last sunday at Famiglia Pizza I was told I have another $50. coming instead of hot dogs ..i’ll just hold my breath on that one! ……….

    ..Hope I don’t seem too “Negative” 🙂

If you go to the eatfeats contest page, http://eatfeats.com/query.php?_table=contests&id=1695, it has a contact email and phone number. Pat Philbin or someone else can call, and then report back.

The only prize structure posted by the ifoce gave 10,000 to 1st, 2,500 to 2nd, and 1,500 to 3rd. When you registered for the event, you agreed that any detail surrounding the event could be changed (Including prize breakdown).

“Fact” that does make sense. If it was an oversight on someones part that it was suposed to be $500, and they only paid $250 that could be fixed. Maybe someone thought he was 8th and paid him money for that position. If it was suposed to be $250, and that’s what he got, then that’s cool. Not really too much to ask if the amount got mixed up somehow. Sounds like he is happy, so that is probably the most important thing.

Hey Pat from moonachie if O&A dumped you and all you had was competitive eating or if competitive eating dumped you and all you had was O&A would you be satisfied lacking one or do you need both in order to live a happy life?

I’m not really that much of an attention seeker so I could be happy just being a fan of both things, even if I got “dumped” by either one or both them ..i’m just enjoying the ride while it lasts! 😉

The exact quote is “I got nuthin!” which was a comedic reference to ‘An Officer & a Gentleman” ..did you actually think I was serious? …I suppose you think there was a “Baby-Bird Panel” too? …what a maroon!:D

Either your the greatest actor or we are the biggest fools. You had everyone actually believing that you were going to end it all if you got tossed from the ifoce. Does anyone out there have a copy of that show. I would love to hear it again.

Pat’s line refers to an old joke about the Lone Ranger. As he and his best friend Tonto rode to the bottom of the valley, 1,000 Mohican Indian Warriors crested the hill in front of them and began to surround them. The Lone ranger pulled out his chrome six shooter and assessed the approaching attackers. “Boy Tonto, we’re really in trouble this time!” Tonto replied “Who’s ‘WE’ White Man???”

You are correct sir, and it’s probably been referenced 100’s of times in many movies & sitcoms since that joke!
