    According to the website he didn’t live through a single day. Regardless that’s sad news. Condolences to his family.

    Sorry to hear that, and my heartfelt regards go out to his family.

    From the first day I ever heard about Wing Bowl, it wasn’t El Wingador I associated with the event, but Tollman. That was because I subconsciously (I’m UNconscious most of the time.) associated WB with the word “Toll,” whereby at WB VIII the bell tolled for each competitor that Tollman Joe put down.

    His win also came right after Wingador’s initial (of five) WB victories. (I’m not sure if Wingador was at WB VIII or not, but he won WB VII.)

    Anyway, my thoughts and prayers are with the The Tollman today.

    Definately sad news! I heard yesterday from another WB eater and didnt want it to be true. RIP Big Man!

    A beautiful tribute from Badlands and a very classy one as well, no details needed. I have not followed Wingbowl closely recently, my favorite Wingbowl was that won by Sonya for many many reasons. Sonya, Badlands, those are the people who set the standards as people and as competitors. I hope that Tollman’s family becomes aware of the tribute paid by Badlands and others in the competitive eating world. Rest in Peace Tollman Joe.
