The Yeshiva University website has a blog entry about Takeru Kobayashi's appearance last night where he helped at a giant hamantaschen in honor of Purim. The event was organized by Yeshiva's Stern College for Women Chemistry Club.

Very hard to grab an appearance fee from Otthodox jews. One would assume they offered him a giant hamantaschen as compensation for his appearance

Did you read the article? Unlikely. Assume all you want but how about reading first. He has fans, he donated money to feed others, and it wasn’t hamantashen.

Love his charitable spirit. I hope to see him do many more of these type of appearances in the future which will most certainly increase his public favorite status. Good Job!

6:22 the song in that video is about as stale and out dated as “its a grand old flag” . Who cares about his public favorite status. Is his public favorite status putting money in your pocket? Like a broken boring record. Will Kobi beat Joey in hotdogs even though it’s only a simulcast ? Will Kobi repeat in Wingbowl? Tired of hearing his name . Move on to new and fresh material

Badlands Booker holds the record for those cookies. This is like the fake “69” that was really 64.

Badlands is too much of a gentleman to remind people here about his title, but everyone should be clear that he does indeed hold the record.
