Bertoletti’s stunt is the only one with any entertainment value.

I think Brad is doing a gallon of milk and several cookies. Not sure of time. Go Pat….I love sour cream. Use Penn Maid brand!

20 hot dogs with out the bun in 3:25 ? Its obvious he tried the stunt and barely made it. I predict he will cave in under media pressure. Angelo and Al will ask him for proof of age . Anyone want to wager?

Brad’s stunt sounds like the most challenging of them all. Using the correct technique he can complete it. If any of you guys want some advise (not that you need it) feel free to contact me.

Fifty-Three eggs in 8 minutes is really exceptional. That’s one of the best stunts yet. Congratulations to Humble Bob. I thing Brad will get into wing bowl with his stunt. He did pick a tough one but he’ll do it.

These stunts mean nothing. When the contest begins the only names that will be mentioned or focused on is Pat, Joey and Wingador. Unless you expect a free blow job from one of the wingette hookers, making the trip to wachovia is a total waste of time and energy

  17. Dr. Bigtime said

    January 8, 2008 @ 10:43 am

I’m in! My stunt went from “being one of the best 5 stunts they’ve ever seen” to the next stunt “being the BEST stunt” they’ve ever seen. I don’t care. I’m going to Wing Bowl, and tearing Philly up that whole weekend!!!

BTW Brad, that stunt is unsane. Good luck. I have serious doubts whether I could do that or not.

6 dozen cookies and a gallon of milk! That is AWESOME! Good luck Brad.

By weight, and knowing what Pat is capable of, the sour cream SOUNDS easy but it’s a heavy dairy product, so it’s hard to say. The risk of reversal is high, but I have no doubt he can do it. Hopefully he brings extra sour cream and just blasts right through the six pound mark on his way to 8 or 9 pounds.

hey Dr. Bigtime, you gotta admit the gordo stunt was pretty good, wally isn’t pro. He’s never even been in any kind of eating contest before. I can’t wait until the vids are up on philly.com, i wish i had been in the studio earlier to see the donuts.

  24. Danny said

    January 8, 2008 @ 4:27 pm

Oh and since the first post asked for other stunts, john the bulldog ate 50 meatballs in 6 minutes, and waleed yousef ate 4 pounds of burrito in 4 minutes 45 seconds. Both qualified.

  25. Dr. Bigtime said

    January 8, 2008 @ 4:28 pm

I’ll admit. Gordo stunt was pretty good.

My goal is to finish in the top 5. I want my name to be up there with Pat, Joey, & Wingador. I’m getting together an entourage that will get me noticed, for sure.

Love the anonymous haters. I can see your point. Being the focus of 25,000 drunk, screaming fans, everyone knowing who you are, and kicking ass in an eating contest is a COMPLETE waste of time. I’m sure no one will know who I am in Philly that WHOLE weekend. Being treated like royalty at Delilah’s and other various establishments. God, I wish I could stay home, watch Beaches, and eat 12 more donuts. PS Don’t worry about my money. I think I’m going to make it.

I have to say congrats to Humble Bob. His nickname is valid because I am truly humbled every time I eat with him. He will definitely be in the top 4, so that leaves only 1 spot in the top 5 for me to try for. I know it’s a lofty goal, but I’m aiming high.

Thanks BIGTIME to Steakbellie for coming to support. Thanks also for the kind words.

BTW I drive a BMW with 20 inch custom chrome wheels. And a Harley. Hate Mercedes. My life is hell.

    January 9, 2008 @ 9:52 am

Jeff, that peanut butter eating is awesome. I want to try that myself one of these days.

Juris, Bob, both impressive, no easy task at all 53 eggs, 12 donuts 90secs, great.

Brad, good luck with milk, I know by my own experience is not easy, Joey did it so fast it seems to be easy (hey I would like to hear your advise too!) but of course it is not easy at all, enjoy your cookies too.

Pat I am sure you can eat double that amount of sour cream, you ate 1.75 gallons ice cream and drank 7 milkshakes of 24 ozs. each one so I am sure you can do it.

Philly guy, go for it, you know you can do it.

Mega Munch, Tim Brown, Kevin Ross are you going to give it a try?

Congratulations SteakBellie, I know that feat is not easy at all, speed eating is still a mystery for me, longer time contests seems more achieavable for me.
Good luck everybody and may the best win!

    Alex

    P. S. I am curious, who are the best latin-hispanic competitive eaters there in the US? I have seen from IFOCE Arturo Rios, El Toro Jimenez, Marco Marquez, Jesus Cabrales, who else? Thanks.

A quick congrats to all whom have made it in Wing Bowl so far.

  43. KevinRoss said

    January 9, 2008 @ 12:33 pm

To answer your question Alex, I have not looked into it and don’t even know if I could try a stunt even if I wanted to at this point. I think it would be fun to do a stunt on the radio and I think I could put something together that would impress them, but the truth is I’ve never eaten a chicken wing in my entire life and don’t really plan to. So even if they let me do a stunt and I succeeded, I would feel like a jerk for taking the slot from someone who wants to be at the wingbowl more than me. Plus, I’m saving my frequent flyer miles to do the Nathan’s qualifiers this year.

Why is it that african american people steer clear of competitive eating or ifoce in general? Could it be that they might be intimidated by an almost entirely white organization or do they smell a rat in the system? Without sounding racist we surely need more african americans and latinos in the sport

Brad didn’t try the stunt because he needs to be over 21 y.o.?
Wally, are you the same Wally who ate the 4lbs burrito? Impressive stunt man.
Don Lerman, I think you are right, people were impressed with Kobayashi because he was a great eater during those 6 years even though he was not American. By the way the other day I saw watched your videos with bologna and beans, sounds like good protein sources to pratice with.
