Gothamist reports that walk-on competitors will be accepted at tomorrow's pickle eating contest at the Carnegie Deli. The blog entry also says that Guardian Angel founder Curtis Sliwa is the contest record holder with a total of 3.8 ponds.

Of course? They will be begging anyone off the street including the homeless to enter the contest . Curtis ate 3.8lbs in 15 min. Ed Jarvis holds the 5 min record 2.93

Chapman never held the record. Jarvis ate 2.97 in May 2004. . Those guys fabricate totals to make themselves look good

Pat B did 5.7lbs in 6 mins in FL last year. Bob and Sonya tied for 2nd with a little over 5lbs.

online, thank you and I’m fully aware of the differences but that was a different contest with different pickles, different time in a different league. Just for clairification I was suggesting a unification of the Carnige contests.
