I met Eric Gregg attempting a wingbowl stunt in Nov 2004 .I have to admit he was not one of my favorite people after what he did in wingbowl. He had lost a ton of weight from his baseball days. He was an ok guy but you had to approach him first to get a handshake. The stunt was chinese dumplings that went real bad on the trip to Philly and the look on is face was sheer disgust when i opened the microwave container so i thought it best to toss them in the trashcan to put him out of his misery. The very first umpire in the major leagues to get fined and suspended for not losing enough weight but best known by competitive eating fans for his DQ of Badlands in Wingbowl of two years ago. From what i was told he leaves behind four very dedicated and loving children. Pretty sad RIP Eric Gregg.
