And Kobi is saying to himself these are the idiots I have to eat against now?

Kobys recent contests are not actually pitting him against the other eaters. He’s so far ahead of the field. Rather, it’s like Kobys putting on a clinic and the eaters are having a contest among themselves.

NReda, you size up things perfectly. I sometimes wonder if Koby not signing with the IFOCE isn’t mostly ego-based.

Before Joey, Koby not only had never lost in the US, he won every battle decicively. He needs to be able to say that he’s #1 in whatever league or status he’s in.

With Joey, I think Koby would still top him in 3/4 of all contests, but Koby wants to be able to win them all.

He has that now, where he’s at, and if he doesn’t compete against Joey, he can still argue that he’s number one in the world, and he may be just that anyway.

But why take the chance and face them when he can put on clinics in every contest he enters as an independent?

As the most recognized CE figure in history, he doesn’t need the IFOCE. His reputation precedes him.
