Maybe another Indiana Eater should take more exotic vacations off the government and stray on his wife while traveling the local states.

Congratulations to that Indiana guy on his YouTube subscriber base! All the purchasing of subscribers, views, likes and comments has paid off. He’s really made it big and is on his way to being rich and famous.

This site really rips comp eaters apart. Why? You would think this site would promote comp eating. No filter no success

Should be called beatfeats because this site is sinking comp eating. Kinda like protests but in writing. Keep up the bad work it’s working

12:58 I actually thought that for many years, but in recent years, I think it is more sad that so many eaters choose to act in a way that makes them deserve to be ripped on. My only problem with the site now is that people can rip on others and talk nonsense anonymously. Regardless though, I appreciate OJ’s unmonetized time keeping posts updated and everything else he does to maintain the site, allowing us to keep somewhat up-to-date on what is going on with competitive eating and everything related.

I am not sure how much longer eatfeats will last, at least at the level I have tried to maintain over the past 15 years. I am going to try to regain enthusiasm and momentum over the next two months, if that is not attained, I will have a decision to make on July 5.

Thanks OJ. Love it here or not, there’s nowhere else like it. Not even close.

OJ, is there anyway you can pass the baton to somebody else? We would hate to see this site go away permanently. Or perhaps, if you do not want to keep up the maintenance that you have, change the permissions to make it more of an open forum.

Hi OJ, long time competitive eating and Eatfeats fan here.
I am sadly not a web designer and lack technical experience but I have a passion for this sport and for this community and I would be heartbroken to see this site go away.
For a few years I have been thinking about launching another CE news blog and database to help capture some of missing contest results detail and to help aggregate useful information like video links and current eating records for easy user access.
I stayed away from this so far as most of the information would be redundant to (and a lot of it sourced from) your archives here on Eatfeats and I am not looking to compete or pull away any viewers. I just want to see these records preserved and accessible.
OJ, if you are seriously looking to leave Eatfeats or take a less active role, then I would like to email you directly about the future of the site.
I would be willing to pay to keep the Eatfeats domain active going forward if you are open to having a new admin on this site or perhaps we could even launch something new together with more engagement functionality if you would be at all interested in some kind of partnership. Totally up to you though and no hard feelings if that is not something you are interested in.

I think PaulVD is presumptuous. Trying to jump onto eatfeats which has existed without pay for OJ is not the way to go.

I intend to keep eatfeats up and maintain the results for MLE contests and major independent contests (and I now define major non-MLE contest as one that awards $100+ cash or $200+ non-cash). That should not take a tremendous amount of effort.

Thanks for the clarification OJ, sounds like the site is not going anywhere which was the main concern.
