It was a great contest! All the local competitors gave it their all! Jason Erb’s girlfriend Lynn performed very well in the amature comp the day before…and The McKirdy Bros. ate a combined total of about 6lbs. I believe if carlene Lefever ate in this comp she might have placed in the money! What can you say about Joey Chestnut except he is the best. It was great seeing everyone again, Pacific NW rocks! … and boy is it windy!

Hi Mike! You rock as an MC!

Those are all VERY good totals, regardless of Joey’s monster number.

Rich LeFevre continues to amaze. He represents another virtually unexploited marketing angle—-I’m talking the greatest over 50 eater on the fact of the earth, let alone over 60. His talent is in the stratosphere!

I think the IFOCE meeds to hire Megamunch and myself to market their product. The Sheas and company are very smart entrepreneuristic guys, but, for the life of me, I don’t know why they are so tunnel-visionary, focusing only on the winner in selling their product.

Great event. Erik the red seemed to hold his own as well. The bachelor doing the reversal was the highlight though.

Thanks Rhonda! That is really nice of you to say… you sure do have an incredible insight to the sport… and yes, Rich leFever is TRULY amazing. An untapped well of marketing possibilities… the only pro athlete in any sport over 60…and an absolute gentleman.

Thanks Mike! You are most welcome and deserving. I have to credit Koby and Sonya for what limited insight I do have. After watching Koby break the 50-dog barrier the first time, I was hooked on competitive eating! Then when Sonya started beating those big guys I became somewhat addicted. If those two weren’t there I’d still be a fan, but not nearly to the degree I am currently.

Mike, you, George, Ryan, and Rich (and Dave, previously) really do a great job keeping my interest peaked as MCs, but especially you and George. You’re my favorite, however, because even with your verbal embellishments —- which are most welcomed, incidentally —- you seem very, very genuine and concerned about the feelings of others.

You really care. You can’t teach that.
