Brad Sciullo finishes 20 pound burger at Heat-Wizards game

BGR Burger joint is holding a 20 pound burger eating challenge at tonight’s Miami Heat-Washington Wizards game. The challenger might be Brad Sciullo.

update The burger was finished during the fourth quarter of the game and there was reportedly a lot of debris under the table.

update Dec 20 NBCWashington has a short article and the Wizards’ facebook page has some pictures: start | midway | near end.

Brad Sciullo on The Colbert Report last year about his completion of a 15+ pound burger at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub Part 1 | Part 2.

He better start about 3 hours before gametime or after the game is over because a haltime isn’t going to get it done. If someone can even come close to finishing this burger (even close) then they might have already gulped down the denny’s beer barrel pub 96er. I heard Elizabeth Cannady has completed that burger, and i also heard that nobody has finished that burger. Denny’s has a couple different challenge burgers if anyone wants to clarify for me. Anyone completing this at a wizards game in a reasonable amount of time is unlikely.

im just curious to know how some dude that apparently very few people have heard of ate a 15lb burger….

and also for those who watched his showing on The Colbert Report, it was a complete joke (intentional im guessing)…which could easily mean playing around with the video…

not sayin this guy cant eat… just a 20lb burger????? i wanna see some proof =]

i am a huge fan of the long game. but 4+ hours is enough time to get your 2nd wind and maybe more. his credentials outside huge burgers look fair to midland. just judging from the database. wing bowl appearences. and i think he will be there this year as well. it is refreshing to see some focus on the longer stuff.

Better than fair actually when we look behind the numbers, in 2007 he ate 26.5 hdbs at a qualifier, that was good enough for 2nd. It is actually the level of competitors that he has beaten and been edged by that is impressive. A true variety show of foods and eating organizations involved. They say i am easily impressed though. I did see a missing prize money in an MLE event where he finished ahead of eaters in the money. Strange stuff when you look him up, has beaten many of the top MLE eaters. Maybe he is being snubbed for some reason or another.

You should probably correct the headline of this post. It was fifteen-pounder like the one was listed on the restaurant’s website, which has a 9-pound patty and matches the description later tweeted by the ESPN blogger who was there.

dude i just saw the 3 pictures OJ posted from the Washington Post….

Wtf… everyone check picture #3…. the whole thing is complete cheat lol

they probley just told him to shove 75% of the burger under the table over time so the crowd would think he was close/able to do it, to make the game and all more exciting….

If Brad tries to come out and say that he legitimatly ate that burger then hes full of alot more then half a burger haha

furious pete kicked his ass in meatballs , he ate 3lbs of wings in buffalo 2yrs ago to finish out of the money. When his consumption of food is supervised by real judges along with a real eating organization only then can we truly judge his eating ability. If he was ranked with IFOCE Scuillo + #15 but even thats oushing it

I agree with megatoad, who needs video, the final picture shows a couple pounds of meet on the floor. Of course unless there is video of him eating the meat off the floor then we would get some value out of the video.

Brad bashed AICE, and is not recently ranked in IFOCE, I am just wondering what is going on with this guy? And wtf is “snotting a wing” , i am not yet familiar with this term.

The meat on the floor is pretty bad. I don’t think there’s any way to make up for that.

if you had to take a wild guess what “snotting a wing” meant, what would your guess be? I’ll give you a hint, he didn’t blow snot on the wing nor did he put the wing in his ear.

isn’t the reason Brad the Lunatic Wizard Scuillo not ranked by the IFOCE obvious? Have you not caught onto how things work with the IFOCE yet despite being on this site every day all day for the past 2 months?

    get with the program man!

Brad had to scoop all the meat on the floor and eat it. It was completed and he was rewarded for his efforts. The burger was bigger than 20 lbs and Brad struggled but the lunatic prevailed.

  26. Mega Munch said

    December 20, 2010 @ 5:01 pm

Wow. Just saw the third pic. That’s a lot of debris on the floor and not the “oops, I dropped a piece” kind of debris. In a speed contest, I can see having SOME debris, but in a long format like this, there’s no excuse for ANY debris.

that wasnt debris. it was lbs of meat that was never destined to go down the hatch. hence why i was curious as to “snotting”. brad seems plenty capable of real eating feats without this kind of stunt. to the duchebag, i only know a little bit how mle works. he probably hasnt competed in an event in awhile. or maybe he likes to cheat or maybe sheas snubbed him. i am doing my best to learn some of the history here without your smartass comments.

Why the name calling, cutter? That really hurts.

Brad was tossed from the IFOCE for being way to awesome. IFOCE has a cap on awesomeness, once you surpass that cap you get booted, which was the case with Brad the awesomeness wizard lunatic Sciullo… I don’ think you have to worry about ever capping out in the awesome department though, cutter. That’s if you ever do become a ranked eater, since you’ve actually been in one IFOCE contest, there is a good chance they may rank you seeing as how most of the IFOCE’s mid ranked decent eaters are going another direction, so they’ll (the IFOCE) have to fill their top 50 somehow even if it means keeping guys like Shawn “6 meat ball” Kirby in there to fill the list and keep their orginazation looking legit.

for all those who say brads an amazin eater, go get all us some video backing up the claims of him eating all that meat off the floor and well shut up, but till then i gotta say….. i dont belive it

and like others have said, for that much to end up on the floor anyways is rediculous in itself, i mean he was sitting down, not pressed for time, i mean seriously… hed have to have a hole at the bottom of his jaw to drop that much food

Well said Matt…. Actually, it wasn’t well said at all, your grammar is worse then an 8 year old… But if you read your posts in Borat’s voice they’re actually quit funny.

Watch what you say about Brad, you look to be about the same size as that burger, if he wanted to Brad could eat you in the time it would take Lebron James to fck around and get a triple double!

fair enough, knocking. your assertion that he was too good is understood. i apologize about the namecalling. i can see that since pre 2007 he has been decent compared to the mle eaters that we see ranked today. yeah i read on here a lot. i guess snotting a wing is hiding it in ones nose maybe? i am an easy target but i truly have respect for real eaters. again sorry. you make a lot of sense though.

The amount of stuff on the floor made me laugh. I read all the posts and assumed there would be a decent amount on the floor from the descriptions, but holy crap. That is a TON of burger on the floor, and you can’t even see how much of it is actually there because of the table linens. What a scam.

And, BTW – Sciullo got tossed out of MLE because he entered an AICE contest (Bartolini’s Meatball Eating Championship). Unfortunately, he managed to compete in three more MLE contests before they found out. It’s not clear when you bring up an eater’s results, but that is what happened.

Isn’t CE an individual sport? There’s no need for “team players” or “teamwork” or “team spirit.” Sure, it’s nice if a guy gets along well with others now and then, but it’s not required.

brad my ass my ass you happen to be correct but when the sheas first started the ifoce they wanted to establish the organization with a team like aspect to it where the losers cheer on the winners. That did not last very long because when greed took over , and members got jealous of one anothers victories all that hip hip hooray went down the toilet
