Youtube has a video of the 2004 pickle eating contest held at the Carnegie Deli won by Ed "Cookie" Jarvis. Joe Menchetti, "Badlands" Booker, Arnie Chapman and defending champion Brian Seiken also competed. This might be the only contest in competitive eating history where competitors wore both IFOCE (Booker) and AICE (Chapman) T-shirts.

Jarvis and Seiken were given full control of the event as to who their competitors were . At first they agreed no menchetti no chapman but both were given a break and allowed in. They basically ruined the contest

Great times back then. Talk about ruining competitive eating chestnut Bertoletti shoudt chip simpson hall hunt and that crew that took the fun out of it with their dangerous water training and performance enhanced drugs

It’s hard to call Seiken the defending champ. Cookie won at the United pickle factory the year before. Seiken was to scared to compete.

learn how to spell you ignorant ass its spelled too not to . And for your info it was a 2yr title so why should he defend it just to please Kevin and Jarvis who practically begged the owner of United Pickles to move it up a year in that slum ridden factory because Carnegie refused them initially
