So just like that… Badlands is out of retirement… even before Nathan’s when he said he would be coming back? That was fast.

Badlands can get a chance to beat a Sonya lookalike even though its not the real one but a pretty good imitation if i may say so

It’ll be worth the trip just to see Badlands eat – I entered the sport because of reading about him and it will truly be an honor to be anywhere near him when he’s in competition mode.

That’s a nice testimontial from Nate . I read that Todd Yeates entered the sport when he read about Don Lerman and BB. Sad to say he exited the sport sporting the middle finger from Johnny Cash on his website on aug 14, 2007 http://toddthebutleryeates.blogspot.com/

The lack of comments/explaination with that image is pretty damn cool. Can anyone elaborate on the circumstances or did he just say the hell with it and walk away (makes it cooler in my book)?

Its one of the few things I can respect about “The Butler”, after wasting space at a table, eating 7 hotdogs.

Reporters have done better than that.

Most of us eat that many at a picnic along with a few burgers, some slaw & baked beans.

Todd Yeates is a really friendly and generous guy and deserves more respect than that Gjoe. You don’t know him and are just talking out of your ass and being rude for no reason. . .but what else is new?

  16. anonymous said

    April 18, 2008 @ 1:18 am

Yeates left because he was registering for contests and was conistantly told the table was full or something to that effect. You have to side with the ifoce in that department because even if it was not the truth they need big names to make the event a success. Take nothing away from Todd who was a class act all the way and a great sport to boot

Todd Yeates always came to my defense on this site, he was good for the sport and we need more people like him…don lerman

I agree. You can usually tell a lot about people by what they write and how they say it,even if you don’t know or have never met them. Todd’s comments on this sight were always professional and considerate. Regardless of his level of ability, I was saddened to see him leave competitive eating, and I think many others were too.

Phill Guy – “Its a shame COMMA he seemed pretty cool”. Or maybe you mean it is a shame that he seemed cool.

Punctuation Police, you are one person. You are not a force or even a small group of officers. Therefore you are Punctuation Policeman or Policewoman.

    And I hate you.

Damn you Phill Guy and your lack of commas!!!!!!

  24. Anonymous said

You’re on the wrong side of the law, Punctuation Police. It wouldn’t be a comma. That would be a comma splice. It would be a period or a semicolon.
