Jacob Kassel has some videos from Sunday's pickle eating contest in Pompano Park, Florida. The videos are captioned Gabriel Kassel, who tied for fourth in the contest and won the 2009 Carnegie Deli pickle contest.

    When Ed Jarvis was judge in 2008, no one got away with anything. He got George Shea to deduct 2 cannoli from Crazy Legs reported totals. That man runs a tight ship.

    Look Don Moses Lerman is a legend. The Sheas should have flown him everywhere paid for his hotel expenses and made sure he got an appearance fee for every single contest he entered. The way he went out was a total disgrace. They should erect two facsimile wax figures of moses breaking the bologna record in 2006 and a wax figure of moses shoveling in 6lbs of baked beans in 2004

    I predict BeautifulBrian will come back & smash the pickle record,in fact I just rereleased my tribute to him(debuted here on EatFeats) on facebook,let’s face it,he’s a legend & I miss him.And as Wrecking Ball can attest,all my predictions have come true(except for that John McCain thing).I nominate BB for commissioner{HOLY PICKLESMOKER BATMAN!!!}

    Don makes an excellent point. He is not a troublemaker. Sometimes he may wish that he had had some more recognition, but he remains on good terms with all eaters and doesn’t attack them even if he himself is attacked. The troublemakers are well known even when they post under anonymous. It doesn’t elevate their standing in anyone’s opinion. You know who you are, and yes, sometimes posting anonymously isn’t because I am afraid to stand up and say what’s what. Sometimes posting under your real name just enrages the troublemakers who make more trouble. It’s a no win. Don is an excellent example of someone who gives his all without demeaning anyone else.
