Amazing job Pete. . .even though you’ve taken the wind out of my sails to think I have a shot in san francisco, I’m still gonna go hard. You’ll probably win, but I promise I won’t make it easy 🙂 By the way, if ever there is a reason they should still have a couple wildcards. . .someone who can eat 29 HDB shouldn’t have to try again! Percentage wise you have to be up there with most improved of all time.
BTW, even though I haven’t seen you around forever Mongo (not since blueberry pie I think?). . .Congrats on making it to Coney!

“29” is a ridiculous number. Congrats to the winner, but for Pretty Boy to increase his number from 19 to 29 in one year is awesome. Looking at the numbers thus far for this year it’s top 10. It reminds me of increases like X and Hall. All three of those guys train their hearts out. Hard work pays off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debbie did Dallas, but I definitely didn’t do Denver… “29” and still haven’t qualified? What are you going to do but rally and bring it home on the next qualifier. Obviously, I have mixed emotions. On one hand, I was able to eat, for me, a solid personal best. On the other hand, I’m still not set for the 4th. It was a ridiculous fight on Saturday, from the very first second we were off and running. Their wasn’t a moment where we were a hot dog apart. I felt ready, confident, and ready to crush dogs. And even though Mongo was the victor, looking back, I couldn’t have done anything different. 30 to 29 “is what it is”. It’s truly the purity of competition that brings out the best in all of us. It’s why we eat! Just wanted to say thanks to all my buddies out there that emailed/called/texted..you know who you are. I love this sport! I can’t wait to get back to the table and do it all over again..this time I hope to be heading home with a trophy!!
