I wish I knew ahead of time that the contestants had to supply their own liquids, I had to scramble during the intros to buy 2 ICE COLD bottles of water. I think that may have hindered my performance ..I hope to do much better next year!

Isn’t that fun Pat? When I competed in funnel cake in August…I arrived with nothing, and they only gave us maybe 20fl oz of water total. Everyone else had brought gallon jugs..I thought it was weird :p
It’s weird to not have any liquids supplied though..?

That happened to me last year,at the last minute I asked Brad Scuillo(who was next to me),”Where’s my water?”He said “You have to bring your own”.He had about 10 cups & he wouldn’t give me one.Someone handed me a steaming hot cup of coffee at the last second.As I told you afterward Pat,if I had known I would have given you some aqua,you’re one of my favorite guys(& one of the funniest).

In the Ruth & GussiesMatzot Balls I asked a few of the other entries what will they us only” 1 16oz,bottle of water” like in the Ben’s contest ,and they shrugged their shoulder in silence, which I thought was out of character for them and low and behold in the contest they actualy brought out shot glasses of water and it was impossible to be in contention with the shots of water and only those who brought their own liquid was in the winners circle

I had enough water, in retrospect, I think warm water would’ve helped the filling go down better ..i’ll know for next time. ..BTW, the crust wasn’t as hard as I anticipated, that was good!
