A-train actually took 5th with over 4lbs. Top 5 was announced before everyone was weighed in. Juliet gets the spotlight again without earning it.

She must be so happy that Wingador doesn’t compete in that event.

Leave him alone he likes to eat. If you take that away from him what does he have?

Congratulations to Sonya! I am pleasantly surprised she won, to be quite honest, not because I doubted her ability, but because Joey is so dominant. I knew she’d have to break her own record to even have a chance of winning. She did, and so did Joey.

Thanks for posting the videos BB. That’s very thoughtful of you.

I actually discovered them on my own—-not through this or any other site.

Sonya praises Pat on her site and he slams both her and the Buffalo wings in Seiken’s interview. I’m glad Joey kicked his ass. Pat clean up your act. You are the grossest eater out there.

6:24 that is some kick in the ass to Sonya. I guess that will be the last time she says anything nice about him for some time

Pat has sometimes had a strange relationship with Sonya. He’s always been very nice to her in person. But he inexplicably has tendency to say some pretty rough things about her behind her back as revealed in this interview. He also seems to be very conscious of her totals at events. Even going to the judges in some cases to complain about things like her plates being too clean. If I had to guess, I think sometimes Pat gets a little jealous of the seemingly unsoughtafter attention she gets even though he clearly has established himself as the better eater in most foods. Sonya always prefer to take the high road as revealed on her website and in interviews prefering not to say anything bad about any eater. Regarding eating messy, I was glad to see George in the videos of the event not put up with any shit regarding debris. In fact he even pointed out that Pat was eating very messy on mike during the contest. Afterwards, he seemed particularly focused on Pat asking him to place debris back in his tray before the weighing. Yet, I also noticed George pointing out debris to both Sonya and Joey.

Unlike the IFOCE used to be years ago, there is very little genuine camaraderie these days. Face-to-face, maybe, but once a person’s back is turned all bets are off. Agree or not, that’s the truth, with few exceptions.

Pat’s behavior is symptomatic of that deterioration.

Rhonda you are so correct. Ever sine the advent of this site some eaters became cautious of me . Some stopped talking to me or ceased being a source for inside info on the sport. Basically what this site has done is break down certain peoples integrity as a human being. I admit it provides an outlet for the competitive eating world to vent or conversate which is void anywhere else. I dont want to turn this into a brian seiken thread but if you go back in the eatfeats archives from 2006=2008 my name and my website were mentioned quite often in a good way. Even the comments about me were positive . It was rare that you would find a negative comment in regard to myself or the website. Then all of a sudden when my aol site crashed and i relied on the services of a new provider to host my website, the tide started to turn. I dont have to go into detail read for youself and you will notice a huge shift. In the early days of the IFOCE we never had the backstabbing crap as we do now. Everyone got along . We even organized monthly get togethers at restaurants . Didnt last very long but it was much better than the sneaky cliches that were formed during the Chip Simpson era. I know that some unnamed eaters dont like me very much but i can deal with them being cordial cause in the long run thats what counts
