Jamie McDonald will defend last year’s title at Mucho Burrito’s Ghost Pepper Eating Contest today. “Furious” Pete Czerwinski will not compete after he suffered an injury in last year’s contest and withdrew.

    Who the hell does this guy eat against to claim all these records? My mom ate an apple pie in two weeks, is that are record? Selfish self promoter for his retaurant.

    When you started out eating competitively since you were 24 you outgrow it when you push 30. Pete has no interest in doing this anymore or at least competing at a table against eaters he has no chance of beating

    Jamie goes up against plenty of good eaters and does fairly well. Not sure why there were no other big guns in this competition-the top prize was pretty nice. It’s a shame Pete Czerwinski doesn’t want to do this anymore, he is good at it and he makes it fun. Curious to see if he is a last minute entry in the pizza contest tomorrow.

    Pete still heralds himself as the best competitive eater in the world who loses to nobody but the great Kobi. That’s a hard title to defend when he’s actually like the 25th best eater in the country.
