I told you OJ! You were trying to make a big deal out of no ESPN coverage this year, I told you that wouldn’t matter. Check out @erikdenmark’s Tweet: https://twitter.com/erikdenmark/status/483076355693625344

Decent article on competitive eating: http://www.whig.com/story/25971209/eighinger-maybe-its-time-to-belly-up-to-the-world-of-competitive-eating

Erik the Red may feel dissed since he’s not specifically mentioned.

It does not take much for Erik to feel dissed. ETR maybe, but how about EGO?

Erik the Red has to take insulin shots for the rest of his life. He was dealt an unfair blow but he makes the best of it and he us man enough to take risks by competing in events that are not diabetic friendly like hot dogs .

I just shed a tear or two for ETR, but not quite as many as I have for those who gave their lives serving this country, whose graves millions of loved ones visit each year. Talk about an unfair blow.

Aside from that, it sounds like you are not only implying women don’t take risks, but also that you have to take risks to be a man.

Perhaps you should drag your knuckles into the 21st century.

On the contrary young lady i never implied that women do not take risks. I am just saying that this man is a role model and inspiration for any red blooded american in this nation. His communication skills are second to none as well as his fund raising attributes . There should be more men out there like Erik the Red and hes extremely good looking

    From the article:

“Most competitions have separate male and female divisions. Women tend to down about half of what their male counterparts normally do. ”

This is not true in two ways. Most contests do not have separate male and female divisions; and women eat more than half of their male counterparts usually, maybe about two-thirds or more.

“Competitive eating has two major sanctioning bodies — the International Federation of Competitive Eaters, also known as Major League Eating. The other is the Association of Independent Competitive Eaters (AICE). It’s kind of like the American and National leagues of Major League Baseball. ”

This is also not true in multiple ways. First, there is also the WLOCE. And the rivalry between MLE and APE is mostly one-sided, not really like the AL vs. NL. Maybe more like the NLF and AFL before they merged. And AICE is also know as APE.
