If Nick Wehry does not win today’s qualifier, he will be the first person to do 33+ hot dogs in a circuit and not make the finals. Previous competitors who hit that mark either won a subsequent qualifier or received the wild card. The previous high for not making the finals was Pat “from Moonachie” Philbin’s 32 in 2009.

he eats 28 and they cant make room for him in the finals but woman can eat 8 and get in with a trophy . This is ridiculous I hope the women event gets no coverage at all

That’s true, dud did eat more than half the qualifier winners, he would have been wild card
