2026 Nathan’s qualifier “line segment” announced

Registration is now open for the 2026 Nathan’s Famous hot dog eating contest qualifiers. With just two competitions, the qualifier schedule can be more accurately described as a line segment than a circuit. Both contests will be held at northeastern USA theme parks in the middle of June:

There were 16 qualifiers for the 2019 Nathan’s Famous finals, 6 for 2025.

    you would think after all these years they would hold a qualifier in kings plaza shopping mall in brooklyn but never happened

    The description for the last one says “only one man and woman will win”, but it sounds like several contestants from both contests will have to go to Coney – unless they severely whittle down the fields.
    I think it’s safe to say we won’t see another eater quite like Joey, but even he started with qualifiers held on the West coast. Odd… odd.

    why dont the non MLE eaters including independent eaters register for Nathans Whats the harm ? If you are a high profile name just add a note that youll sign the freakin contract if that what it takes to get to Coney and then after the 4th you can enter non MLE contests and do challenges Worst case scenario is they ban you from competing with them if they find out . Never know you might like competing in mle events altogether and stick with them Just gotta hope the sheas and barklay dont read my comment

    Thats a simple answer @1:59 …independent eaters wont sign because mle wont negotiate the contract, if they offered something lucrative id sign

    Dan i was actually refeerring to the independent eaters that dont care about contract stipulation and their only prime interest is to qualify and compete on july 4

    i would like to see dave brunelli and wayne give chestnut a run for his money Ill even go as far as Joel Hanson tossing his hat in the ring and let molly compete witht the big boys Competing against sudo is pointless she blow her away in a heartbeat

    If you want to compete on the 4th, you have to sign a contract. Top eaters contracts may be different, but you must sign to compete.

    I dont know what their problem is just sign the fuckin contact If you fear you might get sued by the sheas , a judge would toss it aside and laugh THat contact isnt worth the paper its printed on
