For what it’s worth in May of 2005 i think? Myself , Badlands , Cookie , Moses , Hardy, Goldstein Janus, Crazy Legs ate at J&R steakhouse as part of MTV true life show. Myself Janus Goldstein Hardy & Crazy Legs took part in the 76 oz challenge . Badlands, Lerman, Cookie did not participate. Hardy was the first to complete the steak . In a shocker i finished second in front of Janus Goldstein and Crazy Legs .The segment was edited out of the MTV show. I wonder why? I posted the final times on my site the day after but i lost it. Menchetti might have posted it on speedeat if he checks his archives. Only two people have it on video. Cookie and MTV producer. With that said i doubt anyone will ever see it.

That’s an interesting anecdote Bryan. I see much media in your future, however, in some way, shape, or form.

I didn’t put up anything about that event, except that I was marginally offended that I wasn’t invited. Even that was through conversation or email, I think.

I’ve eaten the 72 once steak 7 times Being a big rig driver, DRIVING THROUGH EVER NOW AND THEN I WOULD STOP IN AND GET A STEAK. I’ve eaten there before the movie twins came out. I think someone over heard me and my co-driver talking and when I intoduced Myself and co-driver, I said that we were twins. I’m 6′ 6″ 445 lbs. He was a little itialian about 5′ 3″ 110 lbs. People would laugh. This was when John Carry was alive. I was invited to have a contest on who could eat the most one pound steaks. Then John passed away. I’ve eaten the steak for quit a while. I can’t remember all the dates, but my first steak would have been $32.05. One time I told you all that my name was Tony Gurrara, he was my co-driver. He was so proud walking around showing off his letter saying he ate a 72 oz. steak in an hour.
