by far the best run, most fun contest out there.

So, with hot dogs and hamburgers covered by two giants fronting a huge exhibition, what do you think the next company to realize the advantages of an eating contest will be? KFC? Quiznos would be smart to jump onboard.

I totally agree SB. Those Krystal people have their stuff together from their Web site, the live Webcasts, prize money, trophys, and how they treat people, in general.

Dale’s timing to defect really sucks wind.I don’t know that he can win $1,000 between now and the Krystals finals.

Wow it looks like sponsors are pulling out left and right . IFOCE is going down the drain?

What ever happened to the Spike TV deal with MLE? They bragged about 4 events in 2007. Only saw one. What happened to the other 3?

Last year was $30,000 paid out 13 places. It looks to be structured a little differently, where the back end (4th through 14th) gets more while the top end gets the same. 13th place is getting double the amount from last year, and now 14th gets a payout, which is even more than 13th did last year.

Agree completely about Krystal’s being the best CE sponsor out there. Love the payouts for all competitors. I actually think the difference between first and second place money should be greater. Maybe $10,000, $5,000, $3,500 and so on. There’s a big difference in sports between first and second place, and prize money should reflect that.

I am guessing we will see Boone pop up at the last minute just like last year. If you remember, he got banned about this time last year and then came back to qualify somewhere in GA. IFOCE loves Boone to much to ban him from anything big. They wait until after Nathan’s to “ban” him, then bring him back just before Krystal with some “exciting” comeback off of suspension story. This way it keeps up the “bad-boy” image.
