11:22 am est . The krystal webcam shows an empty stage with a trophy and someone speaking inaudibly in the background. Is Bob coming on or is it over?

I saw the video but the quality is so bad and the webcam sound is so poor you can hardly understand or hear it and i have high speed cable yet! Can you imagine how it looked with dialup? I was going to post the video but the result would be a very poor product so i decided against it. Krystal site would have done themselves justice by posting it on a tape delay with digital quality streaming video. This was absolutley horrendous. On a positive note Humble Bob is a master. Great job.

Humble Bob how can you be so humble? Great show. For those of you that think however that 14 Krystals per minute can be extended to 8 minutes, well I just think you are in for a rude awakening. But I do think that Bob will eat AROUND 51 or 52 Krystals and he will beat all competitors tomorrow. That would be just a great showing and I believe in him.

I first met this man in molly pitcher nathans qualfier in June 2002. He could barely eat 12 or 13 hot dogs and he was so grateful to be in the contest. Noone knew who he was . Krazy Kevin was the favorite to win that day thats how far back it goes.He competed against Menchetti in philly a year later . Menchetti claims he felt terrible that he beat him due to the fact that Bob’s little daughter was crying because daddy lost that day. In meatballs 2004 i competed next to him and noone realized he practically finished a 5lb tray in a quiet fashion. All he ever wanted was to get to Nathans finals. He got knocked out in the first rd of alka seltzer and from that point on he dedicated himself to being the best and the results have been staggering. He has become a legend before our very eyes. 2min 28 burgers . Outstanding! I salute you Humble Bob . You are the best!

    Luther,
Have an open mind about Bob this year. Since Nathans he’s had an exponential tear. He’s beaten or tied Sonya in a few events recently (worthy of a trophy) and The guy just tied Chestnuts record today….sure he’ll win tomorrow with a good number….but why limit such a great eater with only 52 for the finals? Lets see what happens on the 28th, he COULD surprise us all……

Yeah the Krystal cam is nuts! I put it on at work and then minimize it. Most of the time is cleaning the table up and getting ready for the next square off. If you have speakers you can hear the crowd getting rowdy just before the next time trial starts. Pop it up and your there, Live!
    Freakin’ sweet!
I mean, who else is doing this? The technology will follow.

Outstanding job Humble Bob. Like I said alluded to earlier, Bob is a tremendous talent, but you just can extend out what he did in 2 minutes for 8. His capacity dictates that he can eat just what I said he would — AROUND 51 or 52.

Most eaters will hit a wall at the 20 mark if they can get to that point . The ones that cannot even hit 20 dont belong in the damn contest. If you are able to coast after that point then you are very good or doing some illegal shit. I dont buy that hard work and training crap as the reason some of these eaters are putting up numbers of 40& 50. The hard work line is the standard copout to throw you off. I would hate to see the day when the so called loyal fans who idolize these eaters realize they have been “duped”

Hello all. Thanks for all of the support. I had a great time this weekend. Krystals ran another superb contest. Absolutely flawless. I can’t say enough about them. Thanks to Jim “The Hammer” who came out to see me as well. It was always good to see Kevin Carr and Erik Denmark at the contests. They each did well along with Jim. It was neat to bump into Lynn and his wife at the fair. I am glad he gave it another try yesterday. We need to get him back on the circuit.

To all of those expecting a call back yesterday, my cell phone died. Too many well wishing calls on Saturday. Thanks again.

By the way, I would like to formally apologize for exposing my super white and rather round belly to the world right before the two minute contest. I hope I did not ruin anyone’s lunch.
