Sonya, Pat, Rich, Erik to compete in BigTex jalapenos

hotsauceblog has the press release for Sunday’s GoldenPalace.net Jalapeno Eating Contest at the Texas State Fair. Sonya Thomas, Pat Bertoletti, Rich LeFevre and Erik “the Red” Denmark are expected to attend. Sonya & Pat had a recent Southern Plains showdown at the fried okra eating contest at the Oklahoma State Fair last month. Pat Bertoletti won a jalapeno eating contest in New Mexico in August.

    I don’t believe Sonya will be there until I see it. I don’t think she likes jalepenos. Many times these stories list people who are expected to asttend but don’t show. Assuming she won’t be there I believe that it will be Pat, Rich, Erik1-2-3. If Sonya does show then I miss my guess.

    I predict a tight race between Sonya and Pat with Sonya pulling it out. Rich shouldn’t be too far behind in 3rd and Erik 4th.
