Youtube has a clip of Natsuko “Gal” Sone eating 300 pieces of fried fish. Japanese videos generally do not last very long on youtube, so if you have any desire to watch that, you should see it soon.

    OK, so I watched the video (and I’ve watched other Gal Sone videos before), and I have to say, Japanese competitive eating coverage is pretty boring. Granted, I can’t understand a word they’re saying, but still. And what’s the incredulous reactions of the people in the upper left (who are they?). And how come we never see her actually eating very much. Nibble, nibble, (giggle), nibble, (giggle). I think she’s a fraud.

    It appears that all the Gal does is eat eat eat and has no other purpose in life.She is supplied with food every chance she gets . The setting is on a beautiful beach or overlooking the ocean. We should all have care free lives of that nature. Have you always wondered what the Japs are giggling about when americans are in their presence. They must be getting a big laugh at our expense. Would not surprise me if everytime Kobe sets foot on american soil for an eating contest he must be calling us american fools when he laughs with his translator.

    I want a translator for all these clips. I think it would be much more exciting to actually know what’s going on. Like, what was that yellow powder? What were those fish? It’s more relaxed, but I don’t know if it’s boring; she seems to be really pushing capacity rather than speed, which is just another facet of competitive eating. I know there are several eaters who would be into a more relaxed capacity challenge for a change.

    Because the bluegill that doesn’t exist originally in BiwakoLake is disturbing breeding of native species, exterminating is needed. Gal Sone visited BiwakoLake
    as a project of the variety program. It is a purpose of this program that her eating a lot of bluegills leads to exterminating of the bluegill. Gal Sone is playing the role enough.

    Why doesnt the IFOCE have contests on the beach near the ocean with loads of palm trees like the Gal’s contests instead of cramming everyone together at a table like prison cell mates in a mess hall . Heaven only knows how much body odor and bad breath one had to endure if they were unfortunate enough to compete against someone that didnt think about taking care of hygiene for their fellow competitors.
