Why doesn’t the IFOCE update the eaters’ profiles on their site? They’re 2 years old!

In my eyes the top eaters in the world are those who earn the most cash. Oj could you update the cash winnings of each eater?

We had this debate several weeks ago, but like golf, the best way to judge the top eaters at this moment is cash earnings. 1)Chestnut; 2) Bertoletti 3) Shoudt 4) Thomas 5) Janus. Now some may argue that Koby should be up there, but today on July 6 that are the standings. Koby fans can rest easy because when he competes at Nathan’s then he would quickly move to #1 or #2 after the competition. Heck by using an earnings based ranking, it may pull Koby out of his shell to compete more. Can anybody argue that that is the not best way to have CE rankings? No opinions, no favorites, just hard numbers. It also might help out the lower ranked eaters, by encouraging IFOCE to offer some monetary value to those who come in 6th, 7th, etc.

Bertoletti try some ethylene glycol for your drink. That will do the trick.

Anony 4:22: What you will learn is that some eating challenges are sanctioned by MLE and some are not. What Pat and Joey did was a sanctioned event coordinated with the sponsors and approved by the IFOCE. Much like what Sonya TBW will do in Puerto Rico for Taco Bell next month. What Ben does is eat at events that are not okay and in the long run hurt other eaters and the IFOCE. Now, if Ben plays his cards right someday he too may be able to do such events.

The Pizza Hut contest for Pat and Joey was an IFOCE sanctioned exhibition to be televised on Spike. Joe LaRue’s spaghetti contest was UNSANCTIONED, again! If he manages to make it to Coney this year, he should be disqualified!

A. Anonymous: After you get done eating competitively for more than a couple of years, then maybe you would have the authority to point out other eaters when they don’t follow the rules. Joe LaRue, one of the nicest, most congenial eaters of all time should get some leeway when it comes to eating contests and challenges. Even though he’s not a top-10 eater at this time, Joe has the sensibilty, let alone maturity, to not to go on a website with a question mark over his face and eat a product that could potentially pose a conflict of interest amongst sponsors, nor would he use another eater’s name to particpate in a eating challenge. I support and respect the IFOCE for providing that flexibility to someone like Joe. On the other hand, “we” and yourself have not earned such privileges. By the way, tell Ben to bring his drivers license to New York, the drinking age is 21. Hopefully Joe LaRue can give you guys some advice on where to go, since he knows the town so well.
