    DID YOU SEE THE PIRATE?????
    i’m jealous but that wouldnt fly in the States. You couldnt get the sponsor silkscreened properly on the Puffy Shirt.

    I would have been a great pirate…..I’d be called Scurvy-Bellie and I’d show up with my eyepatch on a different eye each contest. With grace and showmanship I’d slam my hook down onto those Krystals and I’d be able to dunk deeper than anyone at the table….sigh…..

    It kind of looked like he was wearing the t-shirt under his long coat. That MIGHT be okay. I think the Sheas would go for it because they seem to like the colorful characters.

    I’m sorry, I have much respect for Sonya, but this a sham of a contest. Is this the only way the IFOCE can get Sonya to win a one of their competitions anymore by putting her up against a group of nobodies? If I was Sonya, I would be ashamed to call myself the “winner” of the mince pie eating contest. There was NOT 1 serious ifoce competitor in the group she competed against. Maybe the competitive eating world has passed Sonya by like many of the other eating greats who have hung up their bibs…

    Reality I agree that that was not a real contest. However it was an exhibition and a chance for wannabe competitors to “rub shoulders” with an eating great. What better person could the IFOCE send to open people up to the world of competitive eating I say? Also the IFOCE is sure as hell not going to send over a gang of eaters across the water to do what one eater can do. It’s too expensive! In all honesty, I must admit that there’s not a female in the world who can do what Sonya does and very few men. She could have won the contest eating barely more than 1/3 of what she ate. But she put on a show. Reality may you have a better day tomorrow.
