14 hot dogs and buns with no dunking or seperating in 5 minutes is damn impressive. 12 is pretty good too.

1st: Stephanie Torres – 14 HDB
2nd: Johnnie Excel – 12 HDB
3rd: David – 10 HDB
4th: Dennis – 8 HDB
5th: Stephanie Wu – 6 HDB
Stephanie is a world-class eater. This was her first head-to-head contest, and she brought it! It was an honor to be there! She has the potential to be a huge superstar in CE. Johnnie Excel was right behind Steph all the way and did great too.
Newcomer Dennis, whom I believe was an employee of the restaurant that cooked the hot dogs, or some other restaurant at the festival, also was impressive in only his second contest, with 8 HDB.
The contest was hard since we couldn’t dunk or separate the hot dog from the bun.

An interesting fact about this contest is that they make the eaters put together their own hot dogs before the contest. You are given a bag of 16 buns and have to reach into this tray of hot dogs with your bare hands to assemble them.

Thanks A-bomb. Can you insert raw html code into a post? I thought there was special WordPress or bulletin board code, like ? Google hasn’t helped. I’ll try raw html code below:

Hot air must be on the menu 4:30 am, not the first sentence because that is yet to be seen but the second one for sure. But it is good to get anticipation for competition among more women eaters front and center. There may be a time when a women’s league could become possible though I think Sonya would pass. In most sports, separating men and women is logical. Competitive eating isn’t one of them. Gender makes no difference whatsoever.

No I think Sonya would go for a woman’s league. That way she would be in the to three.
