Takeru Kobayashi has posted a link to a Chinese website that has videos of Japanese competitive eating shows including Food Battle Club. There is also a Japanese segment about the 2001 Nathan's finals (video with 13:04 duration)

    Koby’s getting nostalgic now, and for good reason. Those days are long gone, but no one can take away that he almost singlehandedly launched competitive eating as we know it today. Before he came along people just played around at it.
