Excellent effort Tim. Congradulations. One of these days somebody might sneak in and win with only 35. I dont think either of the females will be able to make it because neither of them can eat 35 these days..

WOW! I don’t think I can do that many, no matter how hard I traditionally water train, or the new method of drinking just before a contest & getting rid of it.

Since I want to live, I may never find out.

To those who do use these methods, drugs, surgery, whatever, more power to you. As had been said in other “sports”, if you aint cheatin’ you aint tryin’.

In a few years when these trade :-secrets-: are found out, 50 will be nothing. Many eaters will be eating 75.

Is this true that drinking large amounts of water before a event .This sounds very dangerous and I am shocked that the Org allows this to happen .

Congrats Tim. The double deuce is awesome! Can’t wait to see you put some pressure on Joey and Koby at Nathans.

None of the orgs. directly promote that behavior, Doc. Also, if it isn’t done in public, there is nothing they can really do about it. The IFOCE did jump at Pat from Moonachie for the Baby Bird video on WIP, so they are actively trying to regulate the image of CE, and I would imagine they would do the same for any safety hazzards an eater publicly promotes.

I’m shocked at your poor sentence structure and lack of proper punctuation, Doc!

I second that Pat! I usually teach English to Japanese, but for those in the competitive eating community, I could be persuaded to make an exception. Barring that option. for all of you who plan and wish to compete or just eat in Japan, please follow this link for a tutorial in sushi eating manners. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCpbBVthD7o

wow, I can’t believe that Mr Philbin is shocked by anything. Also, I usually don’t jump on punctuation or poor grammer, but if anyone else is going to do it, they should click the spell check button themselves first.

what is the ‘secret’ to eating so fast. Is it swallowing ability?

I think each eater has a different excuse except for Joey. After he retires in a few decades maybe he will give lessons to the sons of those he killed at the table.
