City Pages has an interview with Eric "Silo" Dahl, who thinks he could compete with the top five of the MLE if he signed a contract. Hopefully after today’s results where he barely beat
Stephanie, he will get the allusions out if his head that is is on the same level as the
MLE top five. I think his head got way too big!

Not to put down, but anyone can comepte with the top 5, but to match their level is a competely different thing, i know he ment the latter though. I personally would believe Dahl to be from the 7-10, given the fact that he is very close to Stephanie in skill level and Stephanie could not hang with the top 5, it’s been proven in her short term with the leauge.

But I could be wrong. The only thing I would say is if you’re going to claim to be around top 5 MLE talent, go prove it. If Dahl really could compete at that level the MLE would be a no brainer decision for him, he should sign up.

I personally thinks he likes being the big fish in the small pond. I also think that if the chicken salad contest is 10 minutes, Stepanie takes it. She has no problems with capacity.

Now these APE people have really stooped to a new low with their lies, made up records, and false claims. So, Eric Dahl wants to claim he can eat more than Joey Chestnut, Pat Bertoletti, Tim Janus, Sonya Thomas and Bob Shoudt? Dahl’s lame excuse for not beating the MLE top five eaters is priceless — Dahl won’t join MLE because as an APE eater he makes “way more money” being an independent. Better try another excuse Eric because that one doesn’t even make sense. I guess APE thinks people and reporters are so stupid they can’t even check simple facts against their lies. Here’s the facts of the top five MLE eaters top five earnings this year and this doesn’t even include comps and fees that APE has no way of matching: $48,000.00 Chestnut; $46,250.00 Bertolleti; $22,881.00 Thomas; $19,050.00 Shoudt; and, 14,325.00 Janus. Here’s Dahl’s joke earnings this year: $3,150.00. Just this week a MLE eater, not even a top five, made $500 for a Hooter’s qualifier with a free trip to New York and $15,000 prizes for the final. Dahl’s going to Niagra for a possible prize of $600 to eat chicken salad on his own dime. Looks like there’s now one more publication that will not return APE’s calls because of their tendency to lie to reporters and credibility problems.

He didn’t eat “on his own dime”… APE pays the travel expenses for certain members of their organization. You think Will paid to travel for that event? Ha, he doesn’t have the money to travel… Do you think Ian ever paid to travel to these events, or Pete (when he was a member)… NO! Hell even when they had an event that no one could make, I got paid travel expenses and I am a nobody…
