Jimmy John's has been removed from the likes list on the MLE facebook page which probably implies that the sandwich makers vs. eaters series will not be returning in 2012. (Pepto Bismol remains on the like list despite reports that it has yet to extend its sponsorship deal for 2012.)

If memory serves me correctly JJ’s wasn’t around in 2011 either.
I guess you can add them to the growing list of Major food chains MLE couldn’t hold onto over the years, Krystal’s, Winchell’s Donuts, Jimmy Johns, Wienerschnitzel (Chili Cheese fries), Alka Seltzer and now Subway… I’m sure I missed a few
how long till Hooters pulls their product too? Taco Bell is over seas and Pizza Hut is a one time deal on Spike.

Dust Biter: Sad how you APE, WLOCE and indie eaters are still so jealous of MLE. When will you guys get that MLE is still the only game in town and the only organization can attract any top corporate sponsorship. If you weren’t so ignorant on how competitive eating works, you’d know in slow economic times the first thing cut is promotions such as eating conntests. However, I’m amazed how this year MLE has been able to hold a record number of contests with top companies and firms. Besides any firm cutting their promotion will be back with MLE when the economy picks up and money frees up for promotions. I don’t see any companies flocking to the indies. Besides, what are they suddenly going to find a huge market for for unknown eaters, chicken salad sandwich contests in Balscratch, NY, pizza in Phlesheating, India, or wannabe hot dog contests with MLE rejects on the Fourth of July?

Doesn’t matter anyway – those contests were only for their special children anyway.

Bromo Seltzer is diffilcult to find in stores, but I’ve read it is still available via Amazon.com. That’s some good stuff. My grandfather used to swear by it.
