    Today is Monday, July 9. This video will only be online for a few more hours. The newspaper website puts up a new news video around 4PM eastern time zone.

    This will be the last time to see “The Hangman” Championship Belt in a eating contest for awhile.

    Thank you to the few who contacted me in private saying positive things about this video and the news story mentioned in the piece.

    I could be wrong it looked like a tie or a loss by the Hangman.Not a very good show by any means.

    Agree with Chip it was one of the more pitiful exhibitions i have ever seen

    In reply to Chip and beautifulbrian. This was an exhibition between an old man who and a hungry young college kid. No money on the line. Just for fun.

    I felt good. He challenged me. The best I did this year was making the duece. 3 or 4 a minute with a mild pace I felt was great. I’m not good at wind sprints or the 100 yard dash. I’m better at the mile and longer races.

    This was meant to be a teaser to talk about the “Science of Speed Eating” piece. And by the reviews it worked well. The newspaper said this webcast got the most hits ever and they had to print extra papers just to cover the demand. And if you know anything about PR, that is a GOOD THING.

    beautifulbrian I have seen some of your exhibitions and many feel some of them were pitiful. Chip, what have you done lately? Where can we see you in an eating exhibition that some will not call pitiful?

    That would have been a shocker if it was him. I didn’t think so. Thanks for clearing that up OJ, because no eaters should have their names slandered.

    I did not think Chip was Dr. Chip Simpson either. I’ve competed against him (Chip Simpson) and he came across as a man with honor.

    Wait a minute Brian, are you saying you didn’t make that comment agreeing with Chip? I don’t believe people actually are using other people’s names. OJ easily thwarts that out. OJ, can we get confirmation that it actually was BB that made that comment?
