(Butch) This seems like a freak show that the number three eater in the world could easily lose. Joey, Sonya (assuming she will not compete), and other top 10 eaters are probably wise to disregard.

But then again, Pat is showing the true nature of the sport, which is the competition and participation.
I am sure everyone will have fun with it, no matter who wins.

The official rules include that we can drink water from 7oz cups. . .however we have to pick up the cups with our teeth and drink it that way. . .no lie!

look for an upset, this is like running the horses on a muddy track at Belmont. Anybody can win-wish I was in this one!! When’s the hands-free grits competition in Georgia?

My bubble tea straw technique would have killed. I guess I’m gonna have to hoof it down like the rest of em.

The competitor that sucks the most, literally, will probably win. Hey, sounds like a job for “Hoover” Hunt or Mark “The Human Vac” Lyle!

There is also a weird rule about only having to finish 3/4 of your pie before moving on to the next one (“Done!”). I have a feeling that will make the judging and the count extra hard. I think the bubble tea straw idea is genius!

Liz, that rule gives me the impression that they decided to go with weighing instead of count for totals. It keeps people from eating the center and moving on. Definitely a good idea, most people would never get the first pan completely clean by the end of the competition. I wonder if anyone is going to use the “flip the pie over with your teeth” maneuver.

yeah that is weird………..if they count pies eaten by each competitor, 5 1/4 to 4 3/4 to 6 1/2 that is just stupid……….hope this is by weight or something accurate and not by a judge saying 3/4 and one saying 7/8 or way up in the air like that…………save some face with this contest ifoce by being accurate……..

Judging by weight definitely makes the most sense. But, man, gathering and stacking and weighing a bunch of mostly eaten pies is going to be so messy!
