Krystal Square Off IV Oct 27?

An anonymous commenter provided a link to a Las Vegas calendar which claims that the fourth Krystal finals will occur on October 27. (No other website verifies this information) The presence of the contest on the calendar does not mean that it will take place in Vegas because other non-Nevada events, like the World Series, are also listed.

10/20/07 – 10/28/07 World Series
10/21/07 Blues Brew & BBQ, 2-6 pm Hogs & Heifers Saloon
10/24/07 Campfire Nights – 8 pm RoadRunner Grand Canyon
10/26/07 Nevada Day
10/26/07 The Tom Leykis Show: The last Flash Friday of the season
10/27/07 11th Annual Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball Stardust Resort & Casino
10/27/07 – 10/28/07 Vegoose Sam Boyd Stadium
10/27/07 Krystal Square Off IV: World Hamburger Eating Championship

I posted that based on the date of last year’s Krystal Square Off. It is just an educated guess until the official contest date for 2007 is released at http://www.krystalsquareoff.com.

Nathan’s is also on the schedule. So maybe its major events you can gamble on.

For anyone that’s eaten White Castle burgers, how do Krystals compare?

i never competed in Krystals but i was down south in 2004 and stopped off in GA . They are very good . Minus the onion and Ketchup and replaced with mustard. The Krystal bun is a bit bigger and fluffier than white castle. If i was to make an evaluation , white castle is more of a poor man’s version of the Krystal burger . Like comparing Coke with Pepsi one must dig down deep into their taste buds to find a difference in taste. White Castle used to run random contests from their restaurants in the 1980’s and early 90’s but did away with the idea . I think Ed Krachie held the record for sometime with 37 in 5 min.

Krystals are much more greasy. Both tatse good going in.But they both give you serious gas & stomach pains. Stay away from both if you value your insides & those who spend time around you

basically i the diference is the mustard instead of ketcup and no pickle and a larger top half roll .its got the same overall taste othet than that

I agree with Brian that the taste diffrence is subtle. In my opinion Krystal is the better of the two brands. Krystal’s are always hot and fresh and Whitecastle’s are hit or miss for me sometimes okay sometimes they taste like hell.

Wow Bubba, you MOST EMPHATICALLY AGREE with Brian, I can tell. 🙂

one notable difference is the way you feel afterwards. I can have just a four pack of White Castles and feel sick afterwards, but twenty Krystal’s will just make you feel full.

I just wish the Krystal’s contests were closer, my vehicle isn’t that reliable, too bad, I love burgers! 😉

Looks like the schedule of Krystal’s in Las Vegas in October is false.

Go back and look again. That list was things happening in Las Vegas and the local Vegas and Clark County area. Southern Nevada, where I spent many years performing, is no where near the hills of Chatty.

Rubble can be surprisingly cozy. I think you should still go!
