Joey Chestnut is not the only worry for Bill. I believe Joey, Pat, Brad Scuillo, will all finish ahead of him. El Wingador would have to eat 175+ to have a chance at all (and that’s conservative).
I don’t envision Sonya being there, nor do I think Chip will attend. I wouldn’t if I were them.

Rhonda, Joey and Pat ok… but Brad Scuillo? You show quite a bit of disrespect for the former multi-time champ. Wingbowl is El WIngador’s house until proven otherwise. I do belive Bill has beaten top IFOCE eaters in the past. You favorite Sonya Thomas along with Cookie Jarvis, and a handful of others a few year back. El Wingador has as good a chance as Joey and Pat to win Win Wingbowl this year. Rhonda you need to open you eyes to eaters as individuals and not just MLE guys…

Brad – It’s sort of complicated. Last year, WHP themed the contest “Philly vs. The World”. The IFOCE hand-picked (uh-oh) a group of their best eaters, who then faced off against a group of Philly’s best eaters. To be one of “Philly’s best eaters,” you had to complete an on-air eating challege on WHP. If they keep the same format this year, you’ll only get into Wing Bowl if the IFOCE chooses you. If WHP chooses a different format, you might be able to gain entry with an on-air stunt.
I’m pretty sure that’s how it works. I’ve only been involved as a fan. Good luck either way…and start planning your stunt now just in case it comes to that.

It’s actually WIP radio, 610 AM.
They also have many wing competitions that will be starting soon, but I believe you have to be a Philly resident.

Brad, if the IFOCE does not choose you, then you have to be a resident of the Philly area from one of 5 counties. There is no other way and I already know that everything will remain the same. If you want to come out and watch Brad, I will hook you up with a ticket.
I just polished off 100 wings from the place that supplies the Wings to Wing Bowl. You all have not seen anything yet, because the US MALE will kick some Wing Bowl ass this year. Jump on the wagon Philly guy!
THE US MALE ALWAYS DELIVERS!!!!!!

I’ve been on the waggon. I’m finally old enough to do it. At least the odds of me embarassing myself are lower this year.

USMALE, that is a very impressive number for eating straight through. How long did those 100 take you?

Did not time myself Carey. This was just dinner. I practiced technique on some and then enjoyed the rest with blue cheese and some Heinekens.

Brad,
To be eligible to compete (assuming last years rules apply), you must be one of the 5 Pro’s chosen by the IFOCE or you may be one of the 20 Contestants who successfully complete qualifying stunt AND live in the WIP Arbitron Listening Area (I dont know how far that goes). ALL 25 contestants must be 21 or older (but I’d double check that fact)
