    It is a bit weird. Seems that eatfeats lost its neutral position. Seems more and more pointing fingers at MLE and others. Tattletale on eaters, begins to look like spying. Something strange here.

    I, for one, am demanding that OJ Rifkin reveal his identity (and I have determined that it is a “he”, by the way).

    I have thought about this issue after OJ’s major gaff on the Broken Yolk results and wrongful protection of female competitive eaters, and have come to the conclusion that if this site is to be taken seriously from a journalistic viewpoint, then there has to be transparency. No respectable journalist would omit his name or use a pseudonym, and neither should OJ. We have to be able to determine if there are any conflicts or biases, whether real or perceived.

    So OJ must reveal his identity, or this site cannot be taken seriously.

    There is no reason to drop this site. It is informative and posts events and contests which you might not be able to find anywhere else. The comments serve little if any purpose. If you go back to eatfeats beginnings , 75% of the comments are usually negative and the other 25 % positive. This is the only site where people that have beefs with other eaters or bloggers can show their face without revealing their names. In their mind if they can succeed in screwing with someone head without revealing their names. then they accomplished their mission. However this site does serve its purpose for people to vent frustration about some of the good and bad things that go on at the table or some good and bad people that compete at the table. I would never want to see this site disappear forever

    I have been psting on this sight for years as I have a little bit of a inside track in regards to competitve eating. Truth be known about a 10% of my post have been removed shortly after posting or never made public by the board moderator known only as “OJ”. Post that have been censored include post critical to CE organizations, certain habitual posters, and also only certain CE “talent”. None of these post have been in anyway illegal or vulgar. Eatfeats is anything but neutral though it truly the go to site for CE news or related gossip and will continue to be the one stop shop for CE as I doubt anyone else really cares enough to seriously challenge the god of eating news. I too would like OJ to reveal their identity so the censoring would make sense.
