I think Russ had 16 hdbs, I might be wrong – I was in a hot-dog haze at that point.

Turns out salt distorts the memory. Bob was impressive, breaking Sonya’s record with 2 less minutes. The hotdogs were a little harder than other years, but everyone did a great job pushing through.

In response to Brian’s bits and pieces. I almost beat your personal best with two minutes less and George Shea played your “music” and commented that you’re performing on the forth. Way to show journalistic integrity. He played it to the crowd and let everyone know about your July 4th performance. Seems a little bit rude to say they don’t hype you at all. Be careful of the hand that feeds you. I wish you all the best in your qualifiers!!

In responcs to the journalistic integrity, he did give me a hard time, but he knew I wouldn’t freak out on my blog about it.

Philly guy i never claimed to be a great hot dog eater but congrag on one of your usual stellar performances that has yet to get you a spot at the big dance. I honestly think you are desperate and realize you cant make it to Coney so you focus on trying to beat up on an old man such as myself’s personal best . I realize you have to come up with something to divert everyone’s attention. As far as July 4th performance and the shea hype , get on the bandwagon you little whipper snapper im light years ahead of you with that startling bit of info . I knew about that weeks ago. I never said the Shea’s never hype me . Matter of fact if you read some of my latest bits and pieces and past comment on this site , i made it clear that in the future there will be little if any bashing of the Shea’s and the IFOCE. I’m zeroing in on little varmints like yourself that enjoy sneaking in personal digs on me whenever the opportunity arises. On the bits and pieces, i was only quoting what George Shea sarcastically said about you toward the end of the youtube video. What really kills me is the fact that its ok for Angelo or Shea’s to joke about your eating ability but when i do it you take it personal. I guess if i ran the IFOCE it would be amusing to you. Grow up!
