Had a great time with some super sports of the CE world. Crazy Legs put away close to 10 plates of buffet food , Nasty Nate nearly the same. I came close but Nate cleans his plate for good measure.I highly recommend this buffet if you have a big appetite sushi, bison beef, fried shrimp, chicken and beef teraiki , clams, oysters, buffalo wings, crabcakes, dessert bar the list goes on . Zach’s website midtown lunch has taken off similar to eatfeats and the way mine did from 2004-2006 so check that out tommorow . I realize that others were invited but more than likely declined because they knew i was going to be there or they couldnt splurge for $18.95 . Sorry i had to put a damper on the evening with that remark but its the truth and its in my nature to make comments like that. I expect negative responses as always. Go ahead knock yourself out

It’s cool, Brian; I like the video, and that you got together with CE superstars for an “outing”. I’m kind of sad, though, that I wasn’t invited :o( Not that I could have gone anyway — I had to work — but it would have been nice to be invited. I’m always up for get-togethers, and I thought we made a great “team” at Three Brothers and Nathan’s (qualifier at Shea Stadium) earlier this year. Are you mad at me for some reason?????? :o*(

OJ, the best modification you can make to this site is to post the location of every anonymous poster. Forget IP’s because they are useless. It’s easy to weed out the crap once the city and state pop up next to the anonymous name.

uh too bad the IP gives you the city, state. So if the IPs are useless then by definition the city and state are too.

I just like getting together with people — especially CErs. That’s why I compete, even though I’m not good at it. That’s why I wish I were invited, and why I will be at J & R Steakhouse this Saturday, even though I’m a vegetarian and can only eat a couple things on the menu.

In regard to the Veterans day luncheon the other day, Crazy Legs sent out an email which showed the list of names that were invited. I could care less one way or another who bothered to respond but i was quite puzzled when Crazy Legs asked me at the luncheon if i had a falling out with Cookie Jarvis. He didnt elaborate and i didnt push it either, but i emailed him the next day inquiring as to what he meant by that and i did not get a response. I saw Jarvis at the coney tribute and we got along just fine. I assume from the remark “Did you guys have a falling out?” that the email response back from Jarvis included negative or not so pleasant remarks about yours truly. If this be the case, then its obvious i am dealing with someone that either has a serious character flaw or a split personality. Never knew we had a “Sybil” in the competitive eating world. Another sad day for the sport

Now, this I REALLY don’t understand.
Let me get this straight – three guys have lunch and it needs to be captured on video? Then we need to know the details of a seemingly nonchalant personal conversation during this media event? Seriously, I’m not trying to be a dumb ass here, but who cares if this Brian guy and Cookie Jarvis “had a falling out” ? Were they an “item” at some point in the past?
This IS some fascinating stuff for sure, so I guess I’ll go watch someone in the coffee shop downstairs eat a muffin or have a soda. Then I’ll give a full report.

Mr Adnor you almost had me pissing in my pants with laughter concerning your most recent comment. I’ll explain it in street terms because most of the anonymous assholes that infiltrate this site are garbage anyhow. If you were having a normal friendly conversation with an old friend or someone you knew from the past and this same individual recieves an email from a third party inviting you to a luncheon, and then all of a sudden you get a response which i will assume went something like this. ” I have better things to do than have lunch with Brian who is an asshole . I have bigger fish to fry” Wouldnt you consider that odd behavior from someone that just shook your hand the other day reminiscing about old times ? I sure as hell would . As far as bringing those details on this site? There isnt much going on as far as contests and this is what the morons seem to enjoy so why not entertain them with trivial bullshit? It surely would have made bits and pieces if that page were still in existence. FYI we were not an item at some point in the past

OK. Thanks, beautifulbrian. I think I get it now, sort of. Oh – and it’s “Ms.” (like my namesake – Nicks). Like I said, I wasn’t trying to be stupid, but some of the stuff on this site is really kind of crazy. Being a newbie, it sometimes it’s hard to tell the jokes from simply stupid.
