Way to go Chickie and Petes. You hold a contest for amateurs only, no pros, but still let Wingador compete. He was once considered a pro eater.

What do they consider to be a professional? I am not signed with anyone so I could have entered? Some say if you had gotten paid for any contest, or had won 5 contests, etc etc. I’d like to know what they consider amateur

There is no definition which everyone agrees on. I once brought a camera to an eating challenge, and as soon as they saw the camera they banned me for being a pro, lol.
At a pizza contest in Chicago (I think it was Bacci’s), not going to mention any names, some well known eaters were let in because the owner didn’t recognize them, but others were banned because they marketed themselves on facebook or were from out-of-state.
Some restaurant owners become angry if an eater comes in and does the challenge too fast. Then they ban pros or modify the challenge because they unknowingly think their challenge must be too easy.

There are different meanings for different contest . This contest you could Not be a member of an organization. That was the qualification. You could not join because you are not from the area , that was the other qualification .

On another note i just saw a recent pic of Badlands with Allen Goldstein at Chiptole in Long Island. Goldstein was all alone looks like 70 yrs old with a new wig . It seems as though he dumped the old one which resembled a cheap mop with no hairline and replaced it with a lace wig

Here is the picture where Badlands calls Allen Goldstein a “legendary MLE eater”

Funny, I think Badlands was just being Badlands. Allen himself classified his stint with competitive eating as a “fun, dumb hobby”

A legendary MLE eater LMFAAAAO Couldnt beat Jarvis Booker & Hardy in their prime and thats a legendary eater? . He got into Nathans 5x beating up on primitive competition like little girls and neat eating contest winners. Never won a title unless you want to count that 1lb bologna set up against a drifter they practically picked off the street . Please , that comment is about as fake as the smiles on their faces in the pic

If 1120 comment actually came from Goldstein, that is the most intelligent think he has ever said on this site
