Will the mouth be going? Or does he still need to hide his identity from contests?

Hey Sean, can you please reply to my question. How bad is your eating disorder? In the cheesesteak contest you look like you weigh 120lbs. Do you plan to continue contests and challenges even though your health is greatly at risk?

@1251, it’s the truth and needs to be addressed . Have you seen this guy? Him and the goat probably have barfing contests after each challenge too.

Virtually everyone in CE has an eating disorder. Stop picking on one or two fellows because you simply don’t like them.

120 is still 20+lbs heavier than one of the top competitors. People should probably just chill attacking others with possible disordered eating. True or not.

@5:13 am. Please explain who the “terrible people” are, in your opinion. And why they are “terrible” people.

If you think people that participate in Comp. Eating are terrible, then just get out off this site and stop putting yourself through misery

@5:13 by that logic all competitive eaters are terrible people. I’ve seen joey, Molly, Geoff, Miki Dan Randy Nick Badlands Katina Bob and the newer eaters all get hate……they’re all bad?

what makes puking in ce any less a sport than lets say weight lifting??? do they keep 500 lbs over head after the lift?? no they put it down. the human body could never digest 20lbs of food without issues, its the less of 2 evils

The less of 2 evils is not subjecting yourself to ridiculous overeating. There is never any need to force vomiting – you open yourself up to esophagus damage, tooth decay, electrolyte imbalance, and a whole host of health problems.

There is no need to lift weights – but we cannot live without eating. The problem is the matter of degree.

When a champion weight lifter sets down the giant barbell, he doesn’t go out back and do things that intentionally harm the body.

The champion eater, on the other hand, intentionally engages in an activity (induced vomiting) that is known to cause health problems. There is no comparison here.

@1:06 you are right lifters just pump their bodies full of every steroid and chemical enhancement to get to a certain level… no harm to the body at all????? right i see your point… oh also deaths in body building in 2022(38) competive eating(2).. so it seems there is a comparison

Pretty much anyone participating in any professional sport or even that involves moderate to high physical exertion is damaging their body (at least in the long-term) to try to be “among the best”. Very few “natural” bodybuilders, many pro athletes use PEDs, although many of them may be using ones that aren’t banned. Boxers/cage fighters go to extremes to make weight for their fights.

In competitive eating, very few top eaters are digesting the foods they consume. Many of them (“us”) do have some form of eating disorder. We can say it is in the name of “sport / competition”, but in reality, eating a very high volume of food in a very short period of time and vomiting it back up is an eating disorder, regardless if you win a trophy or cash prize for doing it. For those that do this, the benefit (to him/her) clearly outweighs the health risk, in his/her mind. Anyone that tries to argue that this is not “unhealthy” is full of it. But many can justify it because most of us love to compete, or again, because disordered eating is something that is very hard to abandon without outside intervention.

Since Nathan’s was sold to the Chinese I feel the hot dog numbers have risen. Are they the same size as the Nathan’s before the sale to china?

@10:21 yes. Buy a pack and read the label.

Does anyone know if / when there will be qualifiers for Coney this year? Last year there was only 2 events– one in DC and one in California. Top 3 from each qualifier got a seat at the table on the fourth. And then of course there’s those that get the automatic invites (Esper, Sudo, Joey, Wehry, Oji, Lesko etc.).

I wish they would do like 4 or 6 qualifiers and accept the top one or 2 from each, instead of just 2 qualifiers. Or don’t give out as many automatic bids to those that have been to Nathans in the past, but aren’t putting up impressive numbers at all. Like if you are eating less than 27 or 28 dogs, I dont think you should get an automatic invite

I bought a pack of Nathan’s. It’s been a long time since I had one. It tasted just ok but I noticed they are easier to eat than other brands. Is this why the numbers are up? Just saying

The dogs you buy in the store are not the ones served at their locations.

Nathan’s makes about 6 or more kinds of hot dogs
You probably bought smaller or non cased
