Those 4 MLE contests take place between 9/2/23 – 9/30/23. That’s 29 days, or 25 days without a contest for Webb.

Over/Under Webb does 30 food challenges in September while in the States? That’s an average of 1.2 challenges per non-contest day. Would make Randy Santel look like a rookie…

Randy doesn’t have the “benefit” of vomiting up everything to allow him the chance to make more content.

That’s really all it has become. These new eaters aren’t doing it for anything other than the chance to produce monetizable content. If that incentive went away, these “multiple times a day people” would dry up.

254 mind your own business. Why does it bother you? Maybe you have personal problems and take it out here. Maybe you should see a counselor. It will be ok. Just count ten.

    @240pm.

My business is these people are glorifying and minimizing what it means to have an eating disorder. It’s bad enough to binge once per week; several times a day is pathological.

It is sad that you don’t care more about other people. Maybe you don’t have someone to care for you, and for that I am sorry. The problem is we are getting to the heart of what it means to be an “influencer” and have influence in a world highly defined by social media. Influencing people to develop or progress in an eating disorder is a poor way to use that influence.

Most of the people are doing it for the $$$, not to “make a difference” or “leave a positive impact” on the world. Certainly, there are millions of people that choose to do the same thing for other, more traditional professionals. Many people maximize their income, or at least their utility, when determine how they earn their incomes. It’s pretty much hard-wired into humans to do, what they believe, is in their own best interest. Sure, there are the Mother Theresa’s of the world that might seem to act altruistically at all times, but that would be a rare find among the top-ranked CE’s today.

If you ask almost any serious competitive eater, nearly all will tell you that they don’t recommend this hobby (for very few, it’s a “career”) to anyone. That’s the difference between this and more traditional professions–there’s very little value added to individuals lives or society from competitive eating. It is purely entertainment at the expense of the participants’ physical well-being, and many times, their emotional health as well.

@5:20 this is true. However, I do believe that there’s a few that do it that do try to give back as wel as make money. I’d say badlands, wehry, lesco, prettyman are examples of people that really do seem happy to give back. Badlands and wehry probably being the only one of those examples that make $ off of it. Obviously likely at the expense of their mental or physical well being.

Moh going to Slopper contest in Pubelo according to his comments oi TikTok. Please destroy him at the contest–put him out of the money. This dude is such a fraud, it’s crazy. He really is tricking 99.9% of his followers to think he is actually just not absorbing these calories due to “malabsorption” and “hyperthyroidism”. But no, he doesn’t take any medicine because it “wouldnt help”. These conditions don;t may you hungry within an hour or 2 after eating 8+ lbs of food. It take any where from 2-8 hours for food to leave you stomach and go into intestines, where the “malabsorption” and “hyperthyroidism” would, by his argument, take effect. But his medical explanations don’t consider that he would NOT ever be hungry again within a few hours of any of his challenges or meals, even if it was possible to not absorb the calories of these meals (again, this occurs in intestines, not the Stomach)

He is not a competitive eater. He is a “repetitive cheater”. And if you are an MLE eater in the contest in Pubelo this year, keep a close eye on him after the time is up. He continues to eat the contest food after time is up, before the final counts are tallied.

August 21, 2023 @ 2:54 pm – Thank you for the comment and support. I’ve never been a puker and it’s unfortunately why I have to often do Sexifications regularly (big long diets). What I do is always based on long-term gain and sustainability, rather than short term, as a future social media Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Lance Armstrong cheated his whole way through winning all the cycling championships, just as Mark McGwire and other baseball players like Barry Bonds cheated to get stronger and hit so many record-breaking homeruns. How are they all doing now? All that work they put in is being forgotten about, with an asterisk next to their name in record books. If I threw up my whole way through to eventually becoming a dietitian, I’d end up just like them, a fraud and eventually my empire built-up would crumble due to lack of strong foundation once everyone wizened up and realized my method of weight management. It’s both funny and sad to think that the general public has such a lack of understanding about nutrition and weight management, believing that weight loss and even maintenance is hard for them, while simultaneously believing “YouTube eaters” can post 3-5 videos a week consistently of themselves eating thousands of calories, while maintaining their weight or even losing weight… while doing all the traveling necessary AND editing their own videos. Yet, it is me who takes 85% or more of the social media comments about being “unhealthy” and “eating himself to an early grave.” I cannot maintain my weight doing that many challenges in a week and I thankfully don’t even edit my own videos. Katina edits her own videos but is able to do a much better job of maintaining her weight because her business is much smaller than mine with way fewer people involved, giving her more time to exercise on our trips and focus on herself (with higher profit margins and I’m very proud of her for that!). Also, she has just over 200 challenge wins, posting once per week on her channel like Beard does, and I surpassed 1,200 recently, posting twice per week on my YouTube channel. Most of the challenges I do that she does not do, are over 7lbs (more calories), requiring lots of chewing, and/or the time limit is ridiculously short, and she doesn’t “need” the video(s) to stay ahead with her posting schedule. She also doesn’t have a problem with overeating at “free” hotel breakfasts like someone I know haha.

August 22, 2023 @ 10:10 pm – One can only guess that you are a better eater than me, but too narcissistic and arrogant via your videos and social media posts, to a point where few people follow you and what you are doing. You don’t like the “real job” you are currently doing, and want to work for yourself as a “social media influencer,” frustrated that “eating capabilities” are only 20% of the big puzzle. Don’t blame me, please. I know that makes me sound arrogant, but I also don’t understand why else you’d comment that. I think I have more than 400-500 wins bigger than 6lbs lol, up to 10lbs 7oz (verified haha).

I’ve said or implied this before on this site, but there is less than a 3.5% chance that “competitive eating” as a sport will grow anytime soon, for the same reason that the MLB homerun record won’t ever be broken in one season. It would take lots of steroids to make that happen. We’ve gotten to a point where there is so much water chugging & puking, followed by eating and puking, paired with YouTubers (eating at home) “biting, chewing for a few seconds, & then spitting out, knowing they can add jump cuts and other edits so that naïve viewers don’t know what is going on,” that it will be nearly impossible in the future for anyone to impress anyone. Yeah it is great that we have basically reached the point of maximum human capabilities, but where is “eating” as a spot going to go from there? It’s just a repeat cycle of puking and/or cheating to reach a point where the eating feat is still impressive, compared to what has been done in the past. Anything less is just meh / blah to the general public watching the ads, earning us revenue.

No need for more doom and gloom, but it sucks for new “eaters” trying to start out. I am lucky that I got started in 2010 when food challenges were just a free training meal to help competitive eaters improve and get ready for upcoming eating contests. If I remember right, Naader and I were really the only ones that 80-90% cared about food challenges, with eating contests just being a fun afterthought. If I started today, it would be very disheartening when I found out that pretty much the only way to get ahead is just eating and puking everything, since there is too much time spent traveling, editing, and posting videos and other content, to be able to actually exercise or go slowly, just doing one or two challenges a week max. These days in the competitive social media market we are in, posting just one video a week at the start is almost an impossible growth strategy, and that sucks. The only eaters posting once a week and doing well are those who did more for years leading up to where they are now, and good for them and all the hard work and grinding they did to get there. I’ve got another 2-3 years to go of doing what I am doing, and I am excited for everything upcoming. Still have 10 more new countries to get to for challenge wins. We will just have to see what happens with food challenges & competitive eating after a few years from now, after many of the veteran “eaters” have retired. My personal belief is that my outlook isn’t good, and its our own fault as a community. I guess good luck to everyone and profit while you still can before the general public catches on to what is happening.

I honestly don’t really mind the fact that people water train and puke, or do challenges/contests and purge after. What grinds my gears is when ppl outright lie about what they are doing. It’s one thing to avoid answering the question: “How do manage to stay so lean and do all these challenges?”, or give an indirect answer like: “There’s no tricks or magic, its calories in vs. calories out”…but it’s a completely different thing when people are outright lying saying the burn it off thru exercise, or they have a condition that doesn’t allow them to absorb calories. Sure you can actually out-exercise excess calories to maintain weight, but not when it becomes more than like 12,000 excess calories a week can this realistically be accomplished. So, that’s maybe 2 decent sized food challenges per week that would be possible to burn off thru additional exercise. Without getting into detail on thermogenesis and the fact that “you burn more calories digesting large amounts of food so you don’t absorb all those food challenge calories” type arguments, most people don’t have the time to burn an extra 1600-2200 calories per day over their maintenance.

People doing food challenges daily, and posting those same challenge daily or going live daily, are just irresponsible. Go ahead and do you thing, but just delay posting and limit to 2x per week. You are impressioning millions of people that this type of eating is possible while staying in-shape and healthy. It is not. I don’t really care so much that you choose do these activities every day, or even multiple times a day (cough, TikTok star, cough)–but just don’t be so blatant about and don’t show it to the world every day.

If 1,000,000 people see your content, let’s say only 1% decide to do a food challenge based on it. Thats 10k people. Let’s assume only 10% of them stick with comp. eating for more than 6 months, that’s 1,000 people. Chances are that at least half of them will be bulimic / binge eating and purging to “keep up” with this lifestyle (aka, addiction). Is that really the mark you want to leave on the world?

Some try not to make a practice of vomiting, but I’ve always assumed that most do. It may be bad on the body, but a win is a win if you keep it down for the time you have to.
I have no strong opinion either way, because I can’t see how digesting everything is all that wonderful for the colon and other involved innards either.
If you find it fun and worth all the discomfort and (likely) health risks, you are free to do whatever you choose – puke or digest.

I think constant puking is not healthy at all, and very rough on the body. Mentally, completely ruins your relationship with food such that satiety is not even a real thing. But doing challenges each day for months on end like Randy does has also got to wreak havoc on the stomach, intestines, and bowels, TBH. I know he does his weight-loss journeys, but his heart and circulatory system, and kidneys must take a beating from all the weight gain and sodium&water fluctuations needed when digesting a challenge nearly every day for like 180 days straight.

Whilst I can appreciate most of these comments .. what some
Of you fail to understand is … if multiple challenges are done in a day whilst I travel .. it still only adds up to 10-12kg food in a day … which most eaters can do in one sitting … and if you stopped being a key board hater .. you would see that I’ve gone from 82.5kg @4% BF to 91kg @11% BF from all
The eating … which is a substantial gain in 18 months

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I know it’s public forum … but some of you really should pay attention rather than just throw shade ..

Either way .. thank you for taking the time for me ????

JWebby, if you are the actual James Webb, you don’t actually expect to trick a forum full of competitive eaters with that reply, do you? Everything you said may well be true, but the fact that you didn’t outright deny puking up challenges speaks volumes in itself. It’s a classic “hey, look over here” reply. Look at my right hand while I hide the coin in my left…

    1. You can still gain weight and throw-up most/all challenges afterwards over time.
    2. 10-12kg (are you talking weight or calories?) of food is a ton. If you are doing multiple challenges a day, or let’s say even one, you are consuming at least 10-12k calories based on your capacity/the challenges you do (bigger than 95% of comp. eaters). let’s say that is 77K calories per week (11k per day). if you even somehow burned 4500 total calories per day, you’d still be intaking more than 45,000 calories per week over maintenance calories. 3,500 calorie surplus is roughly 1lb of fat/weight gain.
The point is, we all know it is impossible to have such a calorie surplus over weeks or months and not gain weight like Randy does. The weight gain you noted is less than 19lbs. If you were even only at a 10,500 calories surplus from challenges, you’d be up by 20 lbs. in about 6.5 weeks
    3. I don’t think you were ever 4% bodyfat. That is literally bodybuilder on stage competing level of bodyfat. Maybe 7-8% at your lowest. Maybe I haven’t seen a picture of you at your leanest tho.
    4. I don’t think anybody really cares that you do this–just be smart about it with posting, livestream cadence, etc. Don’t take it as shade”, maybe just view it as some advice..?
    5. Please don’t try to trick people on here that do the same thing as you–you really can’t fool us. The best policemen are people that used to be criminals–they already know what to look for and all the tricks.

Nobody can tell you what to do, so all we can do is share our perspective and insight from years/decades of experiences.

Kg , including fluid most of the time . That is you assuming my intake . During my bodybuilding days I was eating 6k cals per day

I’ve well documented how I’ve had to step training up a ton to maintain somewhat of a respectable physique

Again assuming when you admit you haven’t seen anything ,my life was body building before this 7% body fat plus 9kg weight increase is actually huge … I’m not sedentary like some , so my body weight and body fat is all relative

FYI I don’t know the last time I did multiple challenges in a day – I’ve been working on technique over everything and everyone knows when you’re full you can’t think straight

I’m not attempting to fool anyone … and actually I completely understand what many eaters do
Ive made it known that for me , I get the runs .. not the other way
I also know that haven’t seen other eaters in the act they quickly tell a fib to recover
Not that I care – each to their own

And actually I do respect the advice . I’ve been refining what I do because I want to be better at this

I’ve made it know the times I was sick .. multiple times .. however I also know people have accused me many more times , which is cool.. I don’t mind taking up space on peoples minds lol

    Also
That wasn’t a contest with Raina – it was a promotional gig for a whole saler , we just wanted to have some fun with it .. which we are fully entitled to do
No prizes were exchanged. The trophy was a prob they had in the back ..

You’re welcome to assume all you like – but I do hope one day , I get too meet you guys , so we can have a face to face chat , hang out and actually know what each other are all about

For me , it’s a huge honour to be doing this and being a part of the MLE

I’m not trying to ruin that , not for me ..not for anyone

C’mon mate, 6Kcals per day while bodybuilding? That is like Pro-card level, open class, dirty-bulk level of calories. Are you Jay Cutler or Big Ramy? If you were 90 kilos while bulking before your cut (just under 200 lbs for those Americans), it’s hard to imagine you ate 6Kcals a day. Even if you did, let’s say you burned 4,000 kcal while bulking (A stretch to assume you were burning this much at only 90 kilos bodyweight)–that’s still ~2000 kcal surplus a day. 14,000 kcal surplus per week would be ~1.8 kilo weight gain per week. That would be a very aggressive bulk. You’d be up 15kilo in less than 2 months…

But maybe you are just one of those people that has a metabolism that is faster than 99.9% of people.
And “you get the runs”? When you were practicing hot dogs 2x per day last year for Nathan’s prep, we are to believe that you had all that food moving through you 2x per day, in a matter of less than 12 hours? Bravo again, as you also are in the top 0.1% of humans in regards to digestive health and strength. I’m sure Kate can post your gut bacteria counts to help prove just how you are able to process all of this food so well.

I’ve never used my illness as an excuse , not ever
Second , bodybuilding was my life and actually I have close friends who are top tier bodybuilders , pros and coaches – so actually 6 k cals per day is quite doable if you’re consistent

The Nathan’s prep, I was waking up at 3am to train hotdogs and then doing it again at 3pm
I ate nothing but hotdogs for a week

I’m not here to argue, it’s clear you don’t have much knowledge around bodybuilding and the nutrition aspect , aside from your googling

I came from a fitness / bodybuilding (as a hobby, I never did a show before) background before getting involved in CE. I am not the one taking shots at Kate in comments above, other than the “gut bacteria count” comment, hopefully that wasn’t too harsh :). I apologize for that one if i crossed the line, sincerely I know more about nutrition, fitness, macros, gaining muscle/cutting fat than probably 97% of average joes walking around. I know that 6k calories of food, especially bodybuilding-type food (chicken, rice, broccoli), is not normal/”quite doable” for someone less than 200 lbs. on prep (assuming 175-180 lb. stage weight). I know that consuming 8 – 10k calories in one sitting makes it virtually impossible to train / exercise for hours and hours afterwards, assuming you are letting the food fully digest. And yes, I am aware of the thermic effect of food–whereby your body needs to burn more calories to digest large amounts of food. But this extra caloric expenditure is minimal compared to an overall caloric surplus from food challenges. I have followed people like Greg Doucette, Frank Nippard, Mike Israetel, and a host of other knowledgeable fitness and nutrition experts on YouTube for years.

While we see you posting your workouts on your socials almost daily, so I must admit you are clearly an active exerciser / weight lifter, are you aware that strength training burns nowhere near the amount of calories as cardio or HIIT training? So an hour in the gym might burn 175 calories if you are doing bodybuilding-type training, as compared to an hour-long run or bike ride that could be 3x as many calories burned. Can you please explain your 6K calories diet while involved in bodybuilding, including your total daily energy expenditure estimate?

Nathans prep–let’s assume 60 hot dogs per day at 280 calories each. 120 calorie bun + 160 calorie wiener. Thats 117,600 Kcal in a week. If you somehow managed to exercise enough to burn 4000 kcal a die (including your basal metabolic burn), you’d be at nearly 90Kcal surplus. Again, using the rule of thumb that 3,500 Kcal surplus = 1lb / 0.4kilo weight gain, you’d gain 11.6kilos / 25 lbs. in that week alone. What are we missing here? Am I just bad at simple math??

All of you think this competition is worthy. Your organs will give out early in life because of this demented idea that you will be popular. From what I have studied and concluded is the woman Sudo is falling apart because she feels a need to dominate in her life Also she has a really low self esteem She also lashes out when it may not go her own way. Let this be an example to anyone wanting to do this. The comments here are very disturbing. Not sure why this site allows this. I would think this person is correct about organs and mental health. Think about how we are destroying our well being. Eating food is not a sport

8:28am – no, like I said the basic math doesn’t add up so you are spot on. He’s in the States still banging out mega calories now daily for weeks. And, is maintaining probably 10% body fat. Magic! 🙂 In one podcast, the guys mentioned his jawline like it was some muscle adaptation going on. No, it’s not.

A typo is no reason to discredit a comment which is very to the point and useful. Often or most of the time I have no idea what people are talking about. I do know that they are beyond rude.

“Clinical mind doc” is not a typo……..a misspelling would’ve been a typo. This was someone trying to sound professional with the “clinical mind” of an 8 year old.
