Congrats Mark!
As tempting as it is to do any contest, a $250 gift card to a place no closer than 2 hrs away was a bit much for me. Its also extremely disappointing that a national chain w/over 50 locations would only award a $250. G.C.
The placings in this event should prove that I was correct regarding rankings.
Congrats Tiny! Were they fresh, or were they blanched like the owner told me last yr? Also, was it $100. cash & $100. G.C. instead of the $500. from last yr & $1,000. if you break the record??

That was close, especially from the second place finisher on down. Congratulations to everyone.

Joe,
All you do is complain Kuhns can beat you. If you weren’t so sel centered you would still be with the ifoce or aice. If you need a ranking to be noticed then grow up.

Joe, the tots in Denver and Westminster were quite oily – deep fried, and possibly they were sitting in the fryer while waiting for the contest to begin. I was wringing oil before shoving them in.

Hell yeah Mark. Great job. Gotta love the tots.
G-Joe, they were fresh jalapenos. They were they biggest jalapenos I’ve ever seen. And they were fresh, hot as hell. The prize was supposed to be $100.00 (cash) but they doubled up. $200.00 cash. They offered $400.00 if you could eat 55 or more.
I guess they changed owners after 20 years.
The only competition I had was an eye doctor named Dave. Heat DOES NOT effect this guy at all. He makes and sells his own hot sauce that it twice as hot as mace. He also reportedly ate an entire plate of habaneros, in mexico. This guy went up in the second round, I was in the first, so he knew he had to eat 24 to tie me. The rules were that you had to eat them within 1/4 inch of the stem. All of mine were either down to just the stem or less than 1/4 inch. When this guy was done he had 24 peppers gone! But every one of those stems had 1/2 to a full inch of peppers left on the stem.
When this guy got done eating he didnt drink any liquids at all. He was eating those things like they were candy. Real nice guy. He got $75.00
The third place guy was a young kid. He ate 18, puked, kept eating and they gave him 3rd place for $50.00.
It was fun.
Mark gave me some advise to prevent exit heat.
I, like the dumbass I sometimes am, didnt follow said advise. The next day was hell in the bathroom for me. OUCH – THE FIRE DOWN BELOW WAS BIGGG!
By the way Mark won the year before with 36? I think. And he was nice enough to tell me about this contest when we were in Pittsburgh eating wings.
Thanks Mark.

He won in Westerville at The Dog Joint on Saturday too. 11 jumbo HDBs in 5 min., made it look easy.

I like tots, but I’m not sure I could eat four pounds of children. That’s just gross. How is that even legal?
