IFOCE.com reports that Sonya Thomas is dedicating her performance in the Norfolk qualifier to recently deceased Carson "Collard Green" Hughes. The IFOCE has named the first weekend in June "Collard Green" weekend.

Is she donating her winnings from the contest to his family? If not , then a proper term other than the word “dedication” should be applied

Death is nothing to joke about . You dont equate hot dog contests and someone dying . You are essentially mocking his death . I read rich shea twitter Carson jr stands strong? They got his kids saluting his memory at a hot dog contest. I have heard it all

You are the asshole . Maybe George Shea should have given the eulogy at Carson funeral. I can hear it now. This man died of consumption and fought for a cause. The cause was his unequivocal love for the hot dog and bun.
